I bought this unit to replace an old worn out one given to me as a gift. I learned to love how vacuumed sealed frozen foods are so much better than when you freeze the food without vacuum sealing and fresh foods keep longer too. Go ahead and buy that ten pound bag of potatoes and just break it down into smaller amounts and vacuum seal them. I'm about to harvest potatoes from my garden and I'll be vacuum sealing those.I really like how the roll of bags is stored inside the machine. (This can be an issue when ordering new bags as you must find rolls that aren't too bulky or too long that don't fit into the machine.) The cutter is a very handy feature too and works well. All these machines are noisy, but this one is less noisy than my last one and works faster. I bought a flank steak already vacuum sealed. Left it in it's package and vacuum sealed in in a bag using the 'dry' button. Dry takes a little longer than moist, but it definitely gets all the air out as is possible. Everything else - stew meat, hamburger, chicken etc - I sealed up using the 'moist' option. I love this option because it is very fast and it stops vacuuming before it starts sucking blood into your machine.Pros: It's faster than other machines. (At least it's faster than my last machine.) It's not as loud as other machines. (Again, compared to my previous machine.) Store bags in the machine. Built in cutter. Timer that shows how long until the job is done. It has that little window so you can see that you have inserted your bag correctly and it has maintained position without getting creased or folded over when you close the unit up. Lights behind the window that flash while the machine is working and go solid when the job is done.Cons: As already said, bags are kind of proprietary if you want to store them inside the machine. It will use any bag up to 12 inches wide though.Do you need the timer? No. Do you need the window? No. Do you need the flashing lights behind the window? No. You'll know it's done and sealed when the thing stops vacuuming and the little light over the 'stop' button comes on. These are just handy cool little extra features. I have to say though, that when it's time to replace this unit that I'll likely look for a new one with similar features.Simple to operate, works flawlessly and has a great price. We've got a winner here.

The sealer is fast and the functions work great.It did a good job on dry materials. I sealed bags of oatmeal, and got a tight bag with an impressive seal.It is durable and powerful. If you take a few extra moments to actually figure out how it works it's best and not how you think it should work you'll be blown away. I think this one out performs way more expensive models and takes up less space. Everything from the cutter to the bag stored inside it to the easy user face is perfect

Purchase this for once I got back from my fishing trip on the San Francisco Bay I was able to package 30 pounds of halibut and 2 keeper lingcod and this device held up great then and for one more fishing trip so far. I like that it comes with bags for instant use. Easy to clean which is important in general but especially with fish.Figuring out where exactly to place the edge of the bag past the sealing bar and the button sequence are the only two things you’ll spend five minutes on. Comes with a row of bags and all supplies in the photo. This product has all the functions I need. The moist vacuum and sealing function work flawlessly. I’m now able to save up more space in the freezer by organizing and storing the uncook meat in a bag instead of huge containers!

I just received my new vacuum sealer. It works great. It easy to use.cut bag to size, add food, add top of bag into the vacuum sealer, hit the vacuum seal button and your done. It took seconds to vacuum seal the peach in the pic above. It’s much better that the Powerxl. After a year it stopped sealing, it was hard to vacuum seal. This one was cheaper and works great.

I like the sealer very much. I freeze a lot of produce in the summer. The vacuum feature will really out me up there with the pros. I do question, however, the manufacturers include a roll of bag material that is too wide for the vacuum to seal. So that will be just for sealing only. The roll is handy for one-off sealing jobs, but a narrower roll is needed if you intend to vac the bag made from this roll! Buy a narrower roll!

Worked OK the first 2 times I used it. The 3rd time, it didn't seal, no matter how many times I tried. And of course, it was 2 weeks after I could return it. Pure Junk. Also, poor design. The tray does not come out, so when you seal meat or fish, cleaning up afterwards takes so much longer because you just can't pop out the drip try and wash it separately. I had a Four Uncles sealer for years and it's one its last legs and it still is better than this s%&!A day or two after leaving my initial review, I got a message from the company, saying they will refund my money, even though it was past the return date. I said. "Great, good customer service" That was nearly 3 weeks ago and I have not received my refund. - NOT so Great, customer service.
