Portmeirion beside being beautiful are very durable. They been our daily plates for twenty-five years plus.

I have been a fan of Portmeirion since the mid 1970's. I was very excited to see that there were additional dinner plates that I could add to two previous editions (1972 and approximately 2003) to give my set 18 different designs. The three different issues blend together nicely. Don't let the word "Exotic" deter you from adding to any of the other editions of these plates. To me, these are just another extension to a beautiful line of dinnerware. There are some actual plate design differences between the three editions, however, they still stack nicely and no one would probably notice unless they look at the plates' undersides to detect this. One of the plates from this specific set does have several flaws on its underside. Not sure how this will hinder the plate's performance in the future, but I'll update this review if I notice anything that causes me to reduce this rating to 4 stars instead of 5. Finally, my experience with Portmeirion as a whole has been a good one. In the 40+ years that I have owned this line, I have had only two "casualties" with neither being a fault of the manufacture of the dish. These dishes have held up to everyday use and are still almost as beautiful as the day I got them. I expect the same from this recent purchase and I highly recommend that anyone interested in Portmeirion to give this set a try. They are truly beautiful.

We have used these for many years. They are absolutely beautiful. If you enjoy flowers and plants you have to take a look at these.

These match my existing set. These plates are very durable but after 10 years of daily use 2 of the dinner plated were cracked. Replaced with these. Same great quality as originals,style the same with the addition of 1 plate being a sunflower!

One box had broken plates. I did not take any of the plates out but could see that several were broken. I want a replacement.

I am very glad I decided to purchase these items and had them shipped all the way to the Philippines. They were packaged well, without too much unnecessary bubble wrap. They are lovely additions to my small collection, pieces of which were mostly acquired from secondhand sources.

I bought these dishes to add to a set of 8. Although they don’t match the pattern I have exactly, they are the same size and are very pretty. I’m very happy with them. These are high quality dishes and worth the price.

The 6 plates are superb. Unfortunately my shipment arrived significantly shattered due to insufficient packaging, I believe. The seller and Amazon Customer Service were both individually extremely good in dealing with the problem with me and this really was great. I bought a replacement set because the set was so attractive. Thank you to the seller and to Amazon for turning around a sticky and frustrating situation.
