Safe Dreams Patch Dog Breathable Soft Toy - Suitable from Birth

I purchased this for my friend who is about to have a baby. I came across these Safebreathe toys and thought they were all very cute, but the dog toy caught my eye as its gender neutral and isn't a loud character. It is also floppy, which I think makes it a better toy for a little one to cuddle. The material is robust and has a funny look to it, but it looks really unique. It is easy to wash and good to know that the material doesn't stagnate, especially when you think your little one chews, drools on and then comes back to its good to know the material allows it to clean better.Only thing I am unsure of is that there is a loose collar around its neck with similar fabric. I can see this coming off , but if youre worried you can cut this off without damaging the dog.Very cute little dog, I would buy one for a baby of my own. Great Quality and worth the nearly 15.00 price tag

I've bought this for my first grandbaby, due next month. It's lovely, and I can see how a baby would love snuggling up to it. But the loose collar around its neck worries me ... little hands getting trapped etc. Am I being an over concerned grandma? It's got all the CE marks etc ... just can't understand why the little collar isn't stitched on.

Unfortunately we have left it a bit too late to get a refund and to make our comments via normal channels to the company. The 2 star rating is based on the fact that this supposed long lasting toy had a small hole in the toys ear where the stitching came apart. This could very easily of gone unnoticed and the stuffing was clearly visible. We know for a fact this wasn't caused by our son as he hadn't yet had time to take the toy!We have since bought a second on the basis that he was starting to get familiar with it. So essentially we have paid twice for the same toy due to poor building of the toy. The second one to be fair has lasted a few months since we bought it as a replacement. It has had frequent washes and survived OK. Hopefully it is more robust and the first is an anomaly.We would also say that the "breathable" nature of the toy is slightly questionable as we can't see that to be the case. It is better than other toys, no doubt about that but perhaps a bit misleading to suggest that. Maybe fine for kids 6 months plus, below that or a newborn I certainly wouldn't.We would advise to please check the stitching. Our son does love the design etc of this toy so from that perspective it is good, however the issues above clearly negate this and unfortunately due to being unable to get a refund for the first we have paid out twice to get the toy we expected initially.

So the dog came on time, as was supposed to. It’s full with little holes that let you breathe if for example you push it to your face… I've tested that! I placed it to my face and I tried to breathe and it was easy to do that..The other thing I liked on this dog is the actual shape and the material it’s being made from. It feels nice and easy to drug here and there, especially if you have little hands, so I hope that it will be like that for my son, that will come soon to meet us :D! At least it gives to me the impression of a toy that it can become that one item that your kid will want to have everywhere he/she goes or when he/she wants to sleep or to calm down. Future will show..! Overall me and my husband we are really pleased by this special dogie toy!

We were actually given this toy for our newborn and were delighted with it (in fact we bought another, which is what this review is for).What's good about it, is it is safe for babies of any age - its padding is fairly rigid (so doesn't just completely compress around baby's face) and it is "aerated" - i.e. has lots of small holes (pores, I suppose) throughout its structure. This means that even if baby were to have his/her face right up against the toy, it wouldn't stop the air flow. This is what makes it safe for tiny babies, as they could easily choke or suffocate on regular fabrics.It's quite a large toy - which again means it's not the kind of thing baby can swallow (although our 9 month old now likes to chew the feet and ears :-) ) - Our baby loves it..

This is a beautifully made soft toy, I bought one 3 years ago for a newborn grand daughter and it is well loved. I was disappointed that this arrived doubled up in a plastic bag , no box as shown in the side photo tho it does have an info tag round its neck.i don't know whether this was a mistake or an attempt to save on packaging but it made it look a bit cheap especially as it was a baby shower gift .

I was lucky enough to receive one of these to review, as soon as I heard about it and before I even had it I knew it was something I would love as the thought of leaving a toy with my son while he slept really scared me, and I even looked all over the internet for a 'breathable' toy or comforter but nothing existed. I received 'Hoppy' to review a few months ago and I love it. It is such a fantastic idea and a great toy with lots of limbs to grab and looks gorgeous. I then had to wait a few months until they were officially released so I could buy 'Patch' for my son as we decided to keep Hoppy for our baby girl who is due in November. I cannot rate these highly enough!

got these toys for my little girl who was about 6 months. ii wanted something to leave in the cot with her that would be safe. these are a great idea, if you hold them up to your face you can feel that you really would be able to breath through them! My little one isn't very attached to them, but i still eave them in the cot with her every night and she is started to put her arm around them now that she is a bit older. I will keep them and use them for the next baby if we have another, and maybe sleep with them myself a couple of nights to get my smell on them.
