This has to be one of the most gorgeous swords in my collection. The colors on the sheath and blade are a royal purple. The detail on this sword is unbelievably beautiful. They added a golden charm on the handle, one on each side of the handle, on top of fo' stingray skin. The purple wrapped handle is gorgeous and the silver guard is even highly detailed.The actual sword fits into the sheath with perfection and the real steel is a deep purple in color. The sword is very durable and sharp. The edge on this sword is also able to be sharpened. The detail and craftsmanship put into this sword is fantastic. This sword is a must have for collectors and hands down one of my favorite swords.

What a beautiful Katana!! I now have 3 Katana's, I will let friends and family touch and inspect my other 2, but this one is special. First of all the sharpness of its blade is No Joke, It will Cut! And it cuts easily. I let the weight of the blade rest on the box it shipped in, and just the weight itself let it cut all the way through the box with no effort or push from me, VERY SHARP!!The materials used in this Katana's construction are definitely High Quality, it is much heavier than my other 1060 high carbon steel blades. Though heavier than the others, it is still balanced. The diagonal bar Pattern on the katana’s handle is wrapped in a beautiful shade of purple, that is also really comfortable in my hands. The pictures don't do this Katana justice. In my opinion this one belongs in a collection, I feel like Gollum from Lord of the Rings with this sword but "it's..... my precious."It is well worth the asking Price!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!5/5 STARS *****

I want to mention this up front, because others may be looking for an answer to this question before purchasing. The wooden stand pictured in the product photo does NOT come with the sword. I don't consider that a negative since you're paying for a sword and sheath, but until the moment it arrived I was curious if that stand would be included.Ok, having said that the sword is terrific. It looks great and it's surprisingly sharp. The blade itself is a very dark purple that looks nice, and the handle is balanced, sturdy, and attractive. It's heavier than you might imagine if you're not used to things like this. My only experience with swords in general and katanas in particular was movies and TV, where they swing them around like they are light as a feather. My first thought when holding this sword (other than "wow, this is sharper than I expected") was "How do they DO that??" Very satisfied.

Overall this katana has a nice feel and weight to it, and the blade is pretty sharp, but not as sharp as it should be. The blade has a purple sheen to it that seems to be baked in and gives it a nice appearance. The sword comes wrapped in a cloth bag and has a purple and silver sheath as well. The sheath is a very tight fit, but the quality of it is pretty good.The hand guard and cap have designs and are painted as well, those I think are the parts that were not given enough attention. The one I received is not painted that well and the edges look a little rough on it. I like this katana, but I think some of the cosmetic appearance of it could have been improved upon, but it looks good on the wall and compliments my other one.

I just love the look and craftsmanship of this blade. It's solid and the attention to detail is amazing. This is such a beautiful piece. Definitely worth the money.

This katana sword came super sharp and oiled very well right out of the box. This katana has some amazing craftsmanship and for the lower price it is one of the best swords that can be purchased in this price range. This sword is absolutely beautiful and words can't describe how beautiful it really is in person. The details are beautiful and in a couple word "truly mesmerizing". The packaging was more than sufficient and the bag it is stored is a nice extra touch. I would definitely purchase again without hesitation. Fantastic and highly recommended!

Yup. There is no mistaking it for something other than exactly what it is: a big, sharp, purple katana with a sort of weird handle and no stand (so good luck with that). Considering I don't currently have the indoor space to be swinging a sword, this wickedly gorgeous sword lives in climate controlled storage and I visit it every now and again, waiting for the day when I can go back to playing with my knives and swords, indoors and out.

This sword is made extremely well and has a nice weight to it. It is also very sharp and oiled very well. It would look very nice hung or or a stand. The purple color is beautiful and very unique. Overall it is beautiful and would make a gorgeous gift for almost anyone who is interested in swords or knives.
