GA - General Absorbent, 3 Pound Bag

Easily absorbed motor oil spills on concrete without leaving a trace. I use a broom to move the product over the spill area and it works like magic.

It really liked soaking up the engine oil.

Just to be fair I have only used this on an oil spill in my pole barn that was a few days old and it was like 30°F out so maybe not the best review or chance to let this product truly shine. It did still absorb some of the oil and seems like it has potential but I feel like some cat litter might have been the better option at this point. Being so light weight i felt like it did not have the weigh to get pressure to really grab what was left off the surface. Will try to give a better review once used at the time of the spill.

I grew up in a garage and have the unenviable task of sweeping up and cleaning oil spills for most of my childhood. We always used the clay which was heavy (for a child), but worked well. So when I purchased this product, I was at first hesitant and I was not sure it would work well. However, it worked great. It absorbed way more oil out of the concrete than I expect. I will say that you can still see the stain after it was cleaned up, but I have used no product that totally dissolved all of the oil. However after a good pressure way, the bay is clean again. I would highly recommend this product for home garages. It is definitely a lot easier to store and is almost as efficient as the old clay pellets.

For the money, it worked okay. I didn’t necessarily follow directions and just tossed some on some really big, 2 year old oil stains and it noticeably lightened them. For a small stain I’m sure it’d do the trick.

This stuff is top grade. My basement occasionally floods, forming large puddles because my neighbor's does. When I had to buy this tub, it was pretty bad news. Couldn't have made my life easier. Economical, light weight for getting it around (a boon for my shoulder injury) and sweeps up like a breeze. A lack of dyes in the absorbent meant no telling traces of the sweeping were present after. I have eyes, after-all, I don't need my absorbent to say 'you missed a spot'.

I had the oil dip-stick of my SUV disconnect from my oil pan and dump all of the oil out of my car. HUGE nasty puddle covering 1/3 of my parking space. I applied a generous layer covering all of the oil and let it sit for about an hour before sweeping it up. It worked AMAZING. It picked up all of the oil! So happy with this product. There was so much oil, not an easy task, but this product got the job done and actually exceed my expectations.

My roommate moved out and had the parking space. But there was a big oil spot from his car; and I couldn’t park my motorcycle in the middle. So I got this stuff and it really did clean it all up! Super dry on the floor now. Start small and all more as you move it about. It stays in its somewhat powdery form. So remember to bring a bag and dustpan for cleanup. Don’t just wash it into the drain. It’s just like pouring oil doin too.
