Brilliant Moon: The Autobiography of Dilgo Khyentse

An excellent book about the great Dilgo Khentse. Many of his closest students share their experiences with him as well as his profound realizations and teachings. I highly recommend this book to everyone. If you want to get a glimpse of a man that manifested absolute bodhichitta, you'll find it here.

I have found all the works written about or by Dilgo Kyentse to be fantastic and this does not disappoint. I would recommend this book to everyone I know and I have and continue to read many Dharma books.

A Brilliant Moon - is a beautiful book with a rare glimpse into the mind of an enlightened being through his words and poetry. One gets a taste of what Dilgo Khyentse was like through reading this book.

Very moving accounts by people close to this great enlightened master, as well as his own downplayed autobiography.

I feel I have a strong connection with this man and this book made me love him even more.

This is, as said before, half autobiography and half anecdotes from family, students, etc.Much of the book is "Khyentse Rinpoche gave such and such empowerment at such and such time", which to some people would be very boring.However, within that, there are some very interesting stories. You do get a sense of how the mind of the terton Khyentse works, and also of the devotion that other lamas had towards him, as well as other things- stories about his time in retreat, etc.All in all, for a person who is willing to sort of go through the seemingly thousands of empowerments that he gave, the book is a good account of one of the recent meditation masters of Tibet.

Dilgo Khyentse love for all help us loving ourselves.Read this if you care to meet a great man who is still very much alive.

The catelog of initiation and reading transmissions my be a bit wearisome for some but its is nevertheless an awesomly inspiring read.

It's saturated with the same powerful atmosphere of the meditative perspectives as well as similarly fascinating and compelling anecdotes from the life of one of the most celebrated and influential lamas of recent times.
