Perfect for me
It's a nice barefoot shoe. Good build, it provides good feedback from the ground.

Best VG yet? Durability update
I've run in Merrell Vapor Glove (VG) 1,3 and 4 and, for me, my feet and my priorities, it feels like these are the best yet. Early days, though, so I can't speak for their durability. The fit and feel of these is phenomenal. The combination of super-lightweight uppers, slightly wider toe box (than VG4, which was narrower than the much-loved VG3), extreme flexibility and padded tongue make them lovely to wear.Stylistically, I am far more comfortable wearing these out and about than any previous model - Merrell have evolved the look past the 'clown shoes' vibe that they used to have, IMHO.The outsole has a more aggressive tread than previous models, which is good for me as I have previously struggled uphill in the wet on the country lanes and muddy farm tracks I run on.The built-in insole means a marginally more padded ride than before. I'm fine with this, but if you prioritise ground feel above all else, if you tread on a 50p and want to know if it's heads or tails, then this might be a slight step backwards for you.Make no mistake though, this is still a hardcore zero-drop minimalist running shoe that will absolutely spank you if you transition from conventional stacked-heel shoes without investing time and effort to build foot strength and technique. Keith Bateman and Heidi Jones' Older Yet Faster programme is a great place to start.Overall, very happy so far, will update with a note about durability. Thanks to Merrell for continuing to support minimalist runners with great shoes. And shame on all the mainstream brands for abandoning this great branch of our sport in favour of pushing over-priced technology-led shoes with midsoles that collapse after a few hundred miles.Edit: Six weeks in, I've run about 60 miles on scabby tarmac and loose farm tracks, been camping, played tennis, had many kickabouts in the garden, driven hither and thither, worn them to work, worn them with and without socks. With my particular pair, I've no concerns about either manufacturing defects or accelerated wear, so it's a tick from me in the durability box.Your mileage may, quite literally, vary though.

Returned - Poor Build Quality
I had to return these shoes. I have been wearing barefoot shoes for a little over a year now (VIVOBarefoot Addis and Geocourt III) and I wanted to buy an affordable pair of barefoot shoes that I can use for outdoor tail walks/hikes. I was disappointed to receive these shoes to see how poor the build quality was. The glue used to bond the sole to the main upper of the shoe was visibly spilling the joint. The toe box was noticeably unsymmetrical as the sole looked like it was cut out with a pair of blunt scissors by hand. The mesh upper was made from a poor-quality material and felt it was going to rip or tear after a couple of uses.My Addis' are my daily shoes and they have withstood a year or a reputable use with a minimum of 10,000 steps per day on pavements and dirt tracks. I am going to spend a little extra money and get a pair of vivo tracking shoes.

Very comfortable with appallingly poor durability
Loved the feel, fit and style of the shoes but for £100 to have them worn through to having a hole in the sole of the shoe in less than two months of wear I cannot recommend a purchase in the slightest as at that price point it would cost £600 a year to keep yourself wearing these...

J'avais écrit un commentaire....
.... dithyrambique à propos de ces pompes. Il a été censuré par Amazon. Donc je ne dirais plus rien à propos de ces godasses. Mais achetez les ! Terminé.

Great value barefoot trainer
Awesome barefoot shoe. I started wearing it a few weeks ago, and now I can't wear anything else. My foot loves these shoes. My foot gets to stretch and feel the ground. The sole is thin but very good quality, and with a nice grip. The upper is very good quality, and very breathable. I wear them outside and to the gym too. The fit is good. I'm a 45 in these and a 45 in Nikes too. In other shoes I'm usually a 44. I tried the 44 in these and it was too small. My feet are around 28.5cm long.

True to size
Light. Soft. Follows the foots movements. True to size. Buy your normal size. I have normal foot, not wide, but I like the slightly wider toebox in a barefoottype shoe. Cool looks.

Really comfy
Ugly, but cool ugly imo. Comfy and light. Good without socks.
