UPDATE: Okay - this was taken care of so quickly it made my head spin. And the second package was shipped nicely. I guess it was just a bad batch on the first product - I would so recommend this as a gift! This picnic basket is EVERYTHING we’d been looking for - I’m serious. If you love picnics you understand my adamancy here =D. So well made, so thoughtfully assembled. So fun to have little stemmed glasses for flavored iced tea or wine. <3!!!Ridiculous packing on this product. Impossible to receive glasses intact when shipped without any packing material whatsoever. Amazed the plates didn’t break.The 2 stars is because it appeared the quality was nice and the appearance was very sharp. The product is decent but what does that matter when you can’t receive it intact. Too bad.

I had to go with two stars on this one. It is a nice set, but there are some problems that keep it from being great.The Good:Great size. Can hold a LOT of food and drinks. There's enough room for a blanket, too.The Meh:Materials. The basket is decent. It's well put together, BUT the hinge is going to be the weak spot. When the lid is opened, it doesn't lay level. This will likely fail after a few trips, but other than that, it is put together well. The hinge should be easy enough to repair when the time comes. The handles and clasps are all good. No issues.Utensils/Etc. All the accessories are adequate. What you would expect, really. Definitely a throwback to the 80's on the silverware. Not a problem.The Bad:Straps. The straps to hold the plates are TOO SHORT to actually hold the plates in place. When it comes, all the plates and cups are packed in cardboard. After washing everything we were unable to actually put the plates in their places. The straps are about 2CM too short. We had to use some of our own plates.Cups: 4oz cups. Not worth having, really. They look much bigger in the photos. And that's a 4oz FULL. They won't hold more than 3oz without spilling. Definitely a waste for a family. We'll just pack in some water bottles instead.This was an anniversary gift for my wife. She's mildly disappointed, but we packed in our own plates and cutlery and that makes up for it. Like I said, the basket itself is pretty good. I'm not exactly pleased with the overall set, and I don't think I would recommend this as it is. Still, it is cheaper than the competition. Might be worth it to someone out there....just not me.

I bought this on a spur of the moment for a last minute picnic. Definitely thought it was large when received, but that ended up being a perk. It held LOTS of food and I was also able to fit in some foil containers to use as serving dishes. Even with all I had put into the basket, we did not think it was too heavy to carry. But, we were only carrying it from the house, to the car, then to the picnic table. Might be cumbersome/heavy if carrying on a long hike. You carry it suitcase style and that made it easy to pack around. We had lots of food so none of it moved around when 'tipped' on its side. I like that it had the insulated compartment for our meats and cheeses. Everything was nicely packed for shipping and nothing arrived broken. I kept some of the packing material to keep between the plates. The plates are hard to get in/out of the strapping, but they do fit. The glasses are on the small side, but that was not a major issue for us. I did pay the extra for the blanket. I would suggest skipping the blanket. After two washes the waterproof side of the blanket fell apart. I contacted customer service and asked for a refund on the blanket. They wrote back in less than an hour about processing the refund - they did offer to replace the blanket, but I passed on that option. Overall, I am very happy with our purchase.

I was a little nervous ordering this picnic basket because the measurements listed were bigger than I wanted. However, I trusted the good reviews and the affordable price. I spent hours online searching for the perfect picnic basket and most that I found didn't match the style/color I wanted... and on top of it all, they were very expensive ($150-$300). When I came across the SummerEase basket, I automatically fell in love with the interior design and colors, and the price was reasonable!After physicaly looking at the picnic basket I realized it should be this size so you can actually fit food and a bottled drink. The insulated built in compartment was perfect to store our fruits and deli meats. It was spacious for the taperware. The little wine glasses had strap ons to keep them in place. Everything was organized and made to keep the silverware, plates, and glasses safe.In short, I am extemely happy with my purchase. My fiance and I used this picnic basket for an engagement photoshoot. He loved the basket and so did our photographer. The basket was sturdy and overall great quality. The customer service was also terrific because they helped get the basket in time for our photoshoot.
