Cheap and cheerful!
I've been thinking about buying a macro lens for a while but after reading an article in a photography magazine extolling the virtues of extension tubes I decided to give them a go. I've been pleasantly surprised by the results although I haven't had the chance to thoroughly put them through their paces yet. I wasn't sure which tubes to buy for my Sony Nex 6 as there are so many to choose from at greatly varying prices so picking the Fotodiox ones was mainly a case of pot luck. But so far they seem very good. They're well made, easy to fit to the camera (and the lens) and I've had no problems with them being too tightly screwed together. I've found it quite easy to focus manually when they're fitted - though at very large magnifications in anything less than bright light the focus peaking function on my camera doesn't work well. Altogether though I'd certainly recommend these to anyone looking to get an inexpensive taste of macro photography.

Works perfectly and great value for money
As others have note, this does not come with the tripod mount specified but not an issue to me. Why after all this time Amazon have not corrected this error I fail to understand. Having said that I find the adapter works very well. Infinity focus is maintained on all my Contax and Yashica lenses and all work extremely well. Adapter fitting to the body of my Sony A7ii is very solid with no lateral movement only very very slight rotational play against the locking pin. Exactly the same with the lens fitting against the adapter. The total rotational movement of both lens and adapter being less than 1/2 mm. For the price an excellent piece of kit.

Works fine with the Sony a7R
After purchasing the new Sony a7R camera I pondered long time thinking where the heck from I'm gonna have new lenses for my new babe. Sony's own lenses are far too expensive to buy to fulfill my needs, so I came up with an idea to test my old Konica Hexanon AR lenses on the Sony a7R. I haven't even seen those AR lenses since the 80's, but finally I found my old ragged camera bag and the Good Old Konica TC camera within. And the lenses! There they were, just the way I left them there about 25 years ago, in perfect shape, as clean and spotless as ever.So I purchased this Fotodiox adapter to put my AR lenses on the Sony a7R. The adapter works perfectly and the IQ of the lenses is amazing, sharp and vivid, especially Hexanon AR 40mm f1.8 surpassed my expectations totally. Konica's AF-lenses works via this adapter manually and that's good enough; Sony's peaking manual focus is phenomenal. So far I have adapters for Konica, Canon EF and Nikon F lenses, and Canon FD, M42, Y/C and Leica M mounts are next on my list.Believe me, playing with the best full frame mirrorless camera in the world and super quality vintage lenses on it is fun, really fun!

Good functional design.
I choose this this Fotodiox item over cheaper adaptors for one main reason. It incorporates a tripod mounting bracket as part of its design. The heavy Zeiss & Vivitar lenses I wanted to use would put far too much strain on the fragile Sony NEX5(using the camera's integral mount). So rather than risk damage, I opted for this model. To be fair, there are other, more expensive mounts that have a similar design. You might expect a finer tolerance fit from those items (& the Fotodiox fit has been called into question) so I took something of a chance in staying down-budget. I find the fit acceptable. Camera to Adaptor fit is just slightly tight, and Adaptor to Lens fit is a tad looser than ideal, but overall functionality is perfect.

My advice is to go with the Novoflex Nex/Cont with tripod collar - much more expensive but works great.
Warning - this product does not come with a tripod mount, as shown in the photo. I ordered one, sent in back then ordered a replacement and sent in back again - neither of them arrived with the mount! Also there's something not right with the fitting of this adapter - it worked OK when I tried it on a Sony A7 with the Contax Vario-Sonnar 28-85, but after much fiddling around I gave up trying to use it to fit the Contax V-S 100-300. My advice is to go with the Novoflex Nex/Cont with tripod collar - much more expensive but works great.

Unjustified price tag
Extremely cheap product, yet priced at whopping £15!The biggest drawback is that from inside the tube reflects light as a mirror resulting in a lens flare, which makes it unusable until patched with black velvet.I'm using it with 5:1 macro lens. Connection dots are completely random and don't correspond to the actual connection position. The lens attaches upside down, which is also very inconvenient.I'm using 100mm+ of extension tubes, so the only positive thing that I can say about the product is that it's quite robust without any wobble, like AF alternatives.I would give 5 starts if it was reasonably priced at £3-5 - it doesn't worth a penny more.

Well made - does the job well.
It works! Is well made and is a perfect fit. No focus issues. Not much else to say - if you need an adapter, this will do you nicely.

Simple, Cheap, Works Right
I've got a number of vintage leica thread mount lenses, from Germany, Japan and Russia. This simple adapter allows me to mount them on my Sony A7 or Sony A6000 easily. The mounted lens is secure and not wobbly, and I don't see any reason to purchase a much more expensive adapter for *screw mount* lenses when an inexpensive one does fine.It doesn't cure cancer or bring about world peace, or even whirled peas, but you wouldn't expect any of those things at this price

Beast of an adapter
Quite hefty and solid adapter, not light nor was I expecting so.Can now use my Mamiya RB67 lenses on Sony E Mount with great results.. RB67 as Portrait lenses give amazing results. Also, this adapter I could only find on sale on Amazon.DE
