Abu GarciaRevo X Spinning Fishing Reel

Fish a number of brands (Lews, Daiwa, Shimano, Kastking, Piscifun, Abu, etc). This is a solid, well built real. The handle feels nice. I've wanted to try the Revos spinning reels for awhile and took the plunge. It's lightweight, the drag, and reel are smooth. I oil every reel before use and this was well lubricated from the factory which is a nice touch.Regarding the other bad review here...I've had zero issues with line knotting or spooling. Reels are rated for line diameter etc for a reason. If you encounter twist, knotting, etc its probably your fault for using or spooling the wrong line size in an improper way. Spooled this with 8lb strike king contra braid with zero issues.This is the best in price class for me. This includes other spinning reels in the same range (lews custom speed spooling, Shimano Nasci, Penn). By far my favorite.

I bought two after I bought my first one. Really smooth reels

Bought this on Father's Day as a gift for myself. Paired it up with a Fenwick HMG 7'-ML rod. Casts so smooth and the retrieve is a joy. I was worried about line capacity but it took plenty of line for my test. Spooled Cajun Red Mono-8# and got plenty on the spool. Will buy another if I get the funds! New design for AG and they hit a home run. For $100, it is worth every penny.Photo is of last large mouth caught with this 20 size reel.

I was impressed by the balance and smoothness of this reel. Unfortunately it has no selectable anti-reverse. It is always in anti reverse mode. If you need to let out line you have to open the bail or lower the drag. Show stopper for me. I returned it for refund.

This reel operates so smooth it's unbelievable.

I currently own 3 of these in spinning reels a 20 series, and two 30 series. I also have 4 of them in casting reels. They are a great reel for the money, they hold up well with the abuse of wading rivers and streams. I use them for a variety of species from bream to pike. I mainly use them for bass fishing and the drag works flawlessly. One of these reels paired with your favorite line should do the job. I paired all of mine with seaguar fluorocarbon from 8lb to 12lb. Will be replacing my older reels with these along the way.

This is worst possible spinning reel design. Within minutes of it first use the line started winding underneath the spool as can be seen in the picture. I had cut the line and pull my lure back to shore by hand. After returning home I had to remove the spool and cut out the wad of line that was under the spool. After experiencing this myself I also found a similar issue reported in the reviews on the Abu Garcia website for this reel, so the issue is not unique to me.

Very smooth Reel, good for trolling but very poor casting reel. line balls during casting on a steady basis. I have 8 other reels this is the smoothest retrieval but is the worst casting. line does not distribute evenly on the spool with probably a 65% load on spool bottom and 35% on spool top. Would not recommend unless it is a trolling only reel

Out of the box, reel looks fantastic all blacked out. Spooled it with 30lb power pro braid on a 13 fishing Omen Black MH rod for bass fishing. This reel casts noticeably further and smoother compared to others in my collection of similar or more expensive price point. Drag and retrieval are smooth as well.Reel feels well built in my hands and very light weight as well. With proper maintenance and care I hope to get many years out of this one.

Sie hat am anfang ihre arbeit sehr gut gemacht... aber als ich gestern einen dicken schweren Fisch am hacken hatte, hat die gute Rolle den bruch erlitten... ich bin echt enttäuscht und traurig nicht nur das ich den Fisch verlor sondern auch das die gute Rolle gebrochen ist
