I love these more than my prisma colors because they sharpen better and wear down less. They are less fragile than the prismas. I love the brightness of the shimmering metalic colors and richness of basic colors. I am working on a junge themed coloring book and also ocean scenes that enable me to use shading skills to the fullest. These blend well or give gradient transitions smooth soft lines. The triangle shape fits in my fingers naturally. I think I hold onto them better because my right hand has numbness in it. I worried how would they sharpen! They sharpen beautifully in all my brand name and cheapest eraser top sharpeners. They are good when in a pointed tip or a more blunt rounded tip. They are soft enough to be sensitive to pressure easily and sturdy enough not to break off the tip frequently.I love the triangle box. I try and keep them according to the arrangement chart for easier selection but sometimes I just return them willy nilly. It is simple to arrange them again. Or sometimes I just look at the color of the pencil. Now I was wondering how it was going to be when a pencil was half the height it was new. Some frequently used colors are aready hidden as they are not uniform in height. So I put the smaller ones in the top lid container and it is the perfect pencil holder. This box of 72 colors is more fun than smaller sets because I enjoy using close shades to work with. I wish they came in more colors but half the fun of this set is the triangle box.I worried the box of 72 would be too big to travel with but I toss it in a tote with my books and other sets and GO! The lid has stayed on so far. I am impressed with the box! I like the pretty design on it too!I am trying to think of anything negative to say about the set and so far just how to sort the short pencils as we go along is the only issue that is disappointing but I found a solution. The pencils themselves appear to actually be matched to the outer lable. They erase cleanly when I used the black triangle prisma scholar eraser and when I used a simple cheap white eraser on top of a sharpener. I color on textured books as well as smooth flat paper and the color removal is complete.This is my favorite set! I think it is the best set of colored pencils that I own and some favorite colors are dwindling down already.The price is under $20 so for this valuable quality I recommend buying one for now, one for later, and one for a gift!I have been evaluating pencils for a while now and I have varios top brands and a couple of no name sets in nice cylinder containers and of course Crayolas and Prismas on both ends of the continuim. I like my big box of 100 Crayolas. In comparison this set does not get scratchy on the paper. They never have broken while sharpening because I am careful of the softer lead plus they are not brittle. Some colors are not from a basic set and are beautiful shades of primary colors..I give this a solid five star rating!Hurry BUY THIS without regret.They send a nice business card for quality assurance. This company cares. Amazon stands buy purchases made here.I just wanted to update on using these pencils. These are really still my favorites the fit the colors just pop. They are bright and smudge-proof. I use these for my magical jungle because I like how these are really vibrant for the birds and other tropical flowers. I find that the triangle shape is really useful for me because I Lay My pencils on the table and these do not roll around. Plus in my hand the triangle shape has a nice fit for my hands even after hours of coloring. I still truly love the triangle box. I love the fact that it does not open in a bag with my coloring book and that is saying a lot for a cardboard box case. This little said has also become quite a conversation piece everywhere I go someone will comment on the triangles shape of the case and then we get talking about colored pencils and they advertise themselves. But these truly are a great value considering the other pencils sell for so much more and these are truly great pencils for the price. And that doesn't mean that they fit into a price range. These pencils have a sturdy core for sharpening yet they lay down buttery-smooth and bright. Some of the colors even have a shimmery metallic Sheen to them and others are just pastel smooth. I love these colors. If you are looking for really true to form colors like a Crayola type then these may not be exactly that because these have such a nice variety and have added to my collection. I have not done a color swatch or paired colors I just know that many of the colors are sort of unique just by using them but I'm not an expert by any means and I have not compared the colors. I just know that all of these colors blend so nicely together and they add when I use it with another set. I have been using some really great crayons late late like the prismacolors and others brand names and yet I will go back to my little set of triangle pencils over and over again. I love to travel with these. These are my go-to for throwing them in the tote and taking the them with me I also love to use them for my fairy coloring books because the colors are really great for the wings because of the way they lay down so soft sheer light Aerie and then there are also colors that have a darker pigment brighter vibrant then other sets that have just dark without the Shimmer. These colors also go down so smooth that they make wonderful ground coloring. So I just wanted to update how I'm doing using these. I am sure that you will enjoy using this set so much I could probably become a spokesperson LOL.I have been using these for quite a while now and I thought I would just update many many have been sharpened down to about half the size now and I frequently will just take the smaller pencils out now and put them in the top of the box so I've got many in there now so that is very functional for me I like it that it does not take up much room on the little TV dinner stand I use to color on in front of the TV and again they don't roll around and I like having them in these little pencil holders because I can actually pick out the colors that I want and put them in the box top and feel very organized. I have also been using them for other coloring book. Lately I've been coloring fairies. I find that the soft Sheen of some of the colors or the metallic Sheen or just the bright popping colors in this set far exceed some of my other sets. In fact lately I've been downsizing my colored pencil collection and I've given away quite a few sets. They were good but not quite up to what I have grown accustomed to. And this that of course I keep. These are lasting very well too. Well other sets have become quite small lately because I'm sharpening them so much they're so soft it seems they get used up so quickly. And this that still lasts even though I'm using them very often. So this was definitely a wise purchase. And I still gush about this cute little triangle box. And it seems to fit in the tote bag and I can even put it on top of some of the books because of this cute little shape. Happy coloring! And I'm very glad that my note has been helpful to some who have been contemplating which that to buy. It can be very confusing. And this purchase for me was extremely economical and gave me some extra money to buy some extra coloring books exclamation point but they are extremely great coloring pencils! So that makes me even happier! And so I'm hoping that if you have any question you'll feel free to ask you a question and I will be happy to answer any question you have if I am able. Make a color chart and compare the primary colors between the sets I always said I was curious and was going to do that but I never did but these are true to the primary colors. I find it annoying when I try to do a green leaf and it's not a true green. If I want a contrasting shade grab for it.

I love the box, easy to find your colors because theirs room to look! I can’t believe the high quality of these pencils for the price! These blend as well as my professional pencils. But the best part? The shape!Where are all the triangle pencils shaft pencils! I had a TIA during a bout of COVID and it’s weakened my grip on my dominant hand. This shaft design has allowed me to not only enjoy coloring again but I’ve strengthened my hand and I’m able to use my other pencils again! But I find myself drawn to these simple 72 colors. Downer or them? They don’t come in 120 colors!

The price is pretty unbeatable for the diverse selection of colors though I find that the pencil tips are always very loose and easily snapping while coloring or sharpening eating up a lot of pencil length unnecessarily. I don’t know if it’s due to the triangle shape or what but it’s like the actual colored portions of the pencils are very loosely fit inside of the wood.

I bought these as a gift so I haven't tried them but they are very presentable. Seem to be beautifully packaged gift though.

Let's be honest right from the start, the packaging is adorable. Who doesn't need a triangular package of triangle shaped pencils? No one, that's who. But aside from that, these are garbage. They are not soft, they lack pigmentation unless you want to push down so hard your paper rips, and they are not labeled with any color name or number. The price is nice however. Maybe for kids or a beginner set for someone just getting into colored pencils, but even then, the frustration they are going to experience may put them off so I would not even recommend them for that. So overall, this is a big no thank you, unless you just insist on having a triangle set of pencils in a triangle tube.

I took a chance on these pencils. I had bought some others and was disappointed but these are great. They have wonderful colors and the tips don't break like some other pencils I've had.

Loved the box, color's evenly and smoothly, awesome value plus you can't beat the smooth triangular shape. Highly Recommend
