Very well made with MacBook Level of build quality
Very well made with MacBook Level of build quality. Mounting on top of the laptop is way more ergonomic.

Perfect, depending on what's important to you.
I'm usually too lazy to write reviews, but considering this only has one so far (which was good enough to convince me to risk the $ to give it a shot), I figured I'd pay it forward and do this.I travel/fly a lot for work and my workhorse is a 13" HP Spectre 360 (nearly 3 years old now). I'm also a petite woman who is a stickler for packing extremely light (i.e. I haven't checked a bag at the airport for nearly 20 years - those who do are braver than I am) and not having to lug around heavy tech with me is crucial. I've done the two-screen-fold-out thing, the larger-portable-monitor thing, and the use-your-tablet-as-a-monitor thing.Issues with the 2 screen foldouts: HEAVY, needs mulitple cables (though there are one-cable/connection options now), is even more top-heavy/unbalanced when the laptop is on an ergonomic/cooling stand. Large portable monitor: HEAVY, takes up a lot of desk space since the monitor (which usually has a built-in stand) has to go to the left or right of the laptop. Tablet: Smaller screen (Samsung Tab S8) and I usually need to disconnect and take my tablet on the run with me. The point of all this being this screen actually solves all of these issues - it's small (12"), attaches with ONE cable that has power passthrough, and attaches at the top, which doesn't take up more desk space (though it can also be used to the side). Honestly, 12" is almost toeing the line of too small, but it's a small thing to nag at, considering. This is heavier than it looks - not burdensome, but definitely not junk. Was happy that the touch-screen function worked perfectly (I had one monitor that lost touch-screen functionality when connected). This thing isn't cheap, so it was nice to see it is/was a good quality item.Potential Cons: If you have a smaller laptop like I do, be warned you do need to be cautious of weight distribution. This does come with the magnetic stand that can be folded to help support it, but you still need to be careful/make adjustments when setting it up to get a comfortable angle on both screens and not wear out your laptop hinge, especially if you have a 360 laptop as I do.Final Notes: This connects with a pretty strong MAGNET. This means a dreaded, ugly magnet will need to be stuck to the lid of your laptop... probably forever. It also comes with another magnet for phones, but I'm not going to use it that way/I didn't test that connection. I did try to connect it to my Nintendo Switch, and it does not work - seems you can use it with the Switch, but will need the dock to connect the console to the monitor.Hope that helps.

Adequate Screen, Minor Mounting Issues
The device certainly excels in some areas while falling short in others. The sharpness of the screen is a noticeable plus. It provides clear, crisp images that enhance the overall viewing experience. This is complemented by the convenience of being able to mount it on the top of a laptop, making it a handy companion for multitasking or on-the-go computing. However, it's not all sunshine and roses. The screen brightness is somewhat lacking. It could be a bit brighter, as viewing it in well-lit areas or under direct sunlight proves to be a bit of a challenge. This can be a significant downside for users planning to use the device outdoors or in brightly lit rooms. The bigger issue, though, lies with the included mounting hardware. The magnets provided for mounting the device are unfortunately too weak to hold the screen securely for extended periods. This is compounded by the fact that the adhesive that comes with the magnets wore off quicker than expected, resulting in the screen becoming unstable or falling off.In response to this, I purchased some alternative, stronger magnets from Amazon, which have thankfully resolved the problem. I would suggest future buyers to be prepared to make a similar purchase, as the included magnets might not meet your needs.Overall, while the screen quality is laudable, the brightness could be improved and the mounting system definitely needs better consideration from the manufacturer. I would recommend this product, but with the caveat to be prepared for some DIY solutions for secure mounting. For these reasons, I rate it 3 out of 5 stars.

Handy expansion
I purchased this specifically to us with my Samsung S 23 in Dex mode. But I have also found it useful as a second screen for my pc while traveling. I use it side by side not as illustrated.

A must for a second screen with quick switch to Samsung DeX
I have the NexDock 360 as well for travel. I use this at work as a second screen but with Samsung DeX I can switch to my personal device quickly to send things off-Work VPN.Samsung DeX coupled with MS OneDrive/365 really changes the way you manage your digital home office. 5/5 - 100% recommended.

6 inch usb cord too small for macbook pro
the small usb cord isnt long enough to set the nexpad ABOVE a macbook pro. And other USB cords dont seem to work well with it.what kind of magical usb cord do i need to buy to use this thing as shown in the pictures , where the nexpad is 12 inches above the screen ? I tried several usbc to usbc s and it always sais "no display input" unless you use their fancy 10Gbps one which is only 3 inches....
