Silverline Magnetiser/Demagnetiser 50 x 50 x 30mm (245116)

The magnet is not awful strong it the magnetizer, but that said it still works and is handy fro screwdrivers etc , and is easy to store in my tool box 8 star's out of 10, this would be 10 out of 10 with a stronger magnet inside the tool.

This item is a great product, I got it not expecting much but just needed it to magnetise my daughter's toy as it had lost some. ended up using it on my screwdrivers and other items and it's still going strong.Would definitely recommend

I’ve used this a few times for both magnetising and de-magnetising several screwdrivers and the magnetising element works for a couple of screws either screwing in or out then it just goes back to how it was but the de-magnetising part is rubbish unless I got a faulty one as mine doesn’t work at allVerdict - I’d personally look elsewhere as this item just isn’t strong enough to fully magnetise anything unfortunately

Realy handy and easy to use.

Every magnet has a positive and a negative so you can use and old speaker magnet.The best and most strongest magnet to do this with is use an old hard drive magnet, they are so darn strong it is unreal.So the more powerful the magnet then the more powerful the screwdrivers will become.This however is really good and better than I thought and does a real good job of magnetising my screwdrivers.Obviously I do not want all my screwdrivers to be magnetised especially the ones for watch repairs and computer repairs.The size is 50mm x 50mm x 28mm and is an ideal size for any thickness of screwdriver. It is stronger than I thought and will magnetise the screwdriver enough to pick up larger type scews but stick the smaller type as you don't need them for the larger screws.I received the red one and is identical to the one pictured.For the price I would by one and I certainly would ignore the silly reviews and all the bad ones as there is nothing at all wrong with this little devise.Just for your information, this is about the size of a British 3 pin plug without the pins of course :-)

I bought this because I seen it featured in some DIY videos, but its unneccessary really. and the one I bought didnt seem to work very well. The demagnetise slot, didnt seem to work demagnetising something. and the magnetise option wasnt super impressive either. Don't wasteyour money, I would recommend, just buy a regular "strong" magnet, and rub the metal off that, to magnetise, it will do the same job.
