I'm not planning to use the magnifier, but I tried it first before giving it to an aunt that sometimes needs help reading. The size is decent, not heavy and even comes with a microfiber cloth to clean it.

As an administor of tests in the field, this item has helped a few visually impaired test-takers successfully take their examination. Lightweight and portable. Just store in box to prevent scratching when not in use.

Bought this for my dad and he said it doesn’t work. He still is unable to read the page. It really doesn’t magnify all that much and is very flimsy. I guess you get what you pay for.

I think the idea behind this product is great. I like that it comes with a variety of lenses in different strengths, and that you can actually detach ALL of the lenses if you just want a little more light on your project. The beam (on the brightest setting) seems to work well for lighting up a small area, if you get in close enough. My big concern is with the physical design. First, the frame and lenses are too heavy. If I want to look straight ahead I'm fine, but if I bend over to look down at my needlework, they are so heavy that they slide off. Even adjusting the nose piece doesn't help. The other problem with the physical design is that the ear pieces are rigid and uncomfortable. I don't have a large head, but I feel them pressing in a manner that soon becomes uncomfortable, with no real way to bend or adjust them. And, they don't hook down around my ears in a way that would possibly help keep the device on my face while leaning over. As much as I love the concept, both physical problems make it difficult to bend over my needlework for any significant amount of time.

the magnifiers work great and are perfect for my modeling hobby - I build and fly indoor electric airplanes and am forever needing a closer view of the components - This fills the bill handsomely.. I keep the 2.5 for everything and when needed the 4.5 works great. Then light positions perfectly on the spot you are looking - it is so intuitive. the only complaint I have is repackaging it up to the case - it can be a bit taxing to get everything place to close the zipper but it is a small price for the many goods this thing gives - I will always have one in my model box.

I thought I was ordering a magnifying glass. This magnified but was plastic. Not quiet what I wanted.

Very nice value for the money. Great for seeing small print, but not really ideal for long term use while reading a book. The lenses are thick and clear, not too easily scratched so far. The light is bright, has more than one brightness setting, which is great. And I love that it's rechargeable. I can't say exactly how long the charge lasts because I haven't had to recharge it yet. So far I'm happy with it.
