Does the job it was designed to do

Great product, just no good for my medium dog, her head and tongue isnt long enough to even get food out, had to fill it with water to be able to get any chance of her eating. but passed it onto a friend with a larger dog, and he has loved it, slowed him down during meals.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this bowl yesterday and it came today. My dog usually eats really fast. However this bowl really slows him down and makes him work for his dinner! I put the feet on later to stop the bowl from moving. I would recommend this bowl to all my friends and family.

My little dog eats far too quickly and the design of the bowl certainly slows her down .

The colour is not red as described at all. It's a washed-out pink, and so is the green accent. It almost looks sun-bleached. Not very pleasant at all. It also doesn't have a non-slip base as the description says. It has four tiny, rubbery feet which are only held in by the pressure of the bowl on top. Once it is picked up or nudged too hard, they drop off. Not something I want loose around my smaller dog's bowl. I'll have to glue them in myself.As for slowing down eating, it does work. My dog has a habit of picking food up from his bowl, walking away with it to eat, making a mess everywhere. This also stops that.Any slow eating bowl would work the same, so I wouldn't pay the extra for the aesthetic that makes this one unique.

The media could not be loaded.  An easy to clean slow feeder in hard plastic material.But i'm sorry to say i'm not a fan of the loose fitting pineapple leaves section that you have to clip into place yourself, it's a loose fit and i can see my dog trying to pull it off when i'm not looking, it would be a better/safer option for it to have been injection moulded all in one part.My dog enjoyed eating his food from it but i did not attach the pineapple leaves section while he had his food.My overall score loses one star because of the attached pineapple leaves.

A lot of them have experienced food insecurities, so it is no surprise when they attack anything that resembles food with the fervor of a Tasmanian Devil by the time they get to us.To make sure they don't give themselves an upset stomach until they have learned they'll never go hungry again, we employ a variety of methods, including a Slow feeder.This bowl has been particularly helpful for a couple of reasons. The ridges are sturdy and force your dog to use their nose, tongue and other tools to get the food out. Rather than just scarfing it down and potentially giving themselves an upset stomach and all the results that come with that.This has been a great addition to our current set of tools and I wouldn't hesitate to grab it again. The construction is sturdy and feels high-quality which makes it well worth the money. It comes with the silicone 'feet' separate so you can decide for yourself whether they are needed or not. As we put our bowl down directly on our wooden floor it is a firm yes in this case. As for construction, the only thing I am a little hesitant about is the addition of the little 'tuft' at the top which is detachable. It is definitely a cute addition but I am not 100% convinced it will be able to stand the test of time. The only thing I wish that was different is that it is made of plastic. As time goes on, more and more evidence surfaces to say that chemicals from this material can leak into your dog's food or water and cause issues down the line. So this will be something worth considering.
