Zerotech CP.QT.001170 Dobby Drone - White

I was wary about ordering this drone after reading the negative reviews. But I've had no problems with it so far. I've performed a couple of test flights, and am impressed by how super stable it is. The controls are straightforward, and the photo and video quality is good. The only drawback is the battery life, necessitating the purchase of backup batteries. Overall, I am very satisfied :-)

Bought it knowing that support for the product is now limited. App isn't available on android play store any more but it was easy to find a link to the .apk file for the DoFun app elsewhere on the internet. If the phone is in airplane mode and then wifi turned back on it connects perfectly (samsung note 8) and no issues with updating the software. Flown it a few times now and very impressed. Very stable and easy to use and managed a slight breeze okay. Battery doesn't last long but i bought a couple of spares off ebay. I think this is a price you have to pay for how small it is, it will genuinely fit in your pocket so you can take it out and about very easily.Given how small and yet solid it is, it's excellent value. You just need to be comfortable with the risk of a product that the manufacturer no longer provides support for

Have just taken delivery and although the WiFi connects successfully, the app (on my Samsung S8 Android phone) has a red cross through the WiFi icon and most of the buttons don't do anything. Looking on the forums, it seems they have never recently updated the app and so the product is useless for many people? Does anyone know if that is true?

Despite some mixed reviews I took a chance and bought one. Guess I was lucky, it works perfectly. Very easy to fly, great app features and pre programmed flight patterns. Camera reasonably good quality. Does what it says on box. Only negative is battery life of around 5 minutes.

Well after a lot of research I took my first plunge into the drone market and decided on the Dobby. I had been put off by the suggestion that the App controller no loner was supported on newer iPhones and having an 8 wondered if it would work. I gambled and was pleasantly surprised. Takes great video and photos too although to see it at its best you do need the right conditions (bright sunny day). Handling wise it is very easy to me as a beginner and it hovers rock steady. The only gripe is the predictable battery life. I am not seeing more than 5-6 minutes but hope this might improve. Certainly a spare battery is a must. Recharging takes about an hour. One thing to watch out for is downloading large video files (>300mb) from the drones internal 16gb memory on IOS. You need an android converter App to do this.

I have three of these little drones.Very reliable and easy to fly.Even indoors.

I love this drone. Super light weight meaning you're not effected by many of the drone restrictions on place in many countries. Its small size also means it is easy to transport around when going on holiday or hiking for example. The GPS does an amazing job of holding this little drone stable, even in fairly strong winds and the electronic picture stabilisation works great. Great pictures and the video optagelse is also good, but you have to rotate the drone slowly to avoid the blinds caused by video stabilisation. I have only once experienced the update problem described in other reviews, but with a bit of playing around I managed to get it installed. I highly recommend using the 5g option if you plan on recording video and in doing so you will avoid the jerking sometimes experienced with 3g. If you have a Samsung Mobil, you will need to turn off Mobil data on order to connect to the drone, out is a bit of an inconvenience, but that is the only negative thing I have to say about this great drone. The battery life is only about 9 minutes, and 3 of these are used doing the calibration. However, the drone comes with a fast charger so buy at couple of spare batteries. I can highly recommend non original GIF 1500ma batteries, they are a little heavier, but you get about 15 minutes of flight time. All in all, a great drone which i highly recommend.

App not working on iPhone 5s rendering my drone complexity useless and unusable. App comes on and connects but no video feed.Would not recommend this drone as had problems from the start.I’ve included some photos showing the issue. Do not buy until they update and fix the app

Mit der Zweiten habe ich jetzt die letzten Versuche hinter mir und kann bloß den Kopf schütteln, über solch ein unglaublich unausgegorenes Produkt.Die Drohne an sich und das Material ist wirklich ausgezeichnet. Bedienung und Software sind eindeutig nicht für den Zweck zu gebrauchen, für den die Drohne vorgesehen ist. Schnappschüsse.Zuhause auf der Wiese, nach ca 15m Entfernung, Verbindungsabbruch.Fotos sind nur bei absoluter Windstille nicht verwackelt. Videos bei Windstille wirklich top.Im Skiurlaub, an drei verschiedenen Orten, nach ca 8m Verbindungsabbruch. Durch den Tiefschnee dreimal versunkene Drohne suchen ist wunderbar.Akkus und Drohne müssen unter der Jacke, am Körper transportiert werden, sonst wird bereits bei 5Grad Außentemperatur, ein Akkustand von 6 bis 8% angezeigt, sofort nach dem Start.Die Software verlangt sporadisch das Passwort. Wenn kein Netz vorhanden = keine Passwort Eingabe, kein Flug.Die Software verlangt sporadisch Updates. Ohne Netz abermals kein Flug.Manchmal kann man das umgehen indem man die SIM Karte deaktiviert, manchmal aber auch NICHT.Diese Drohne möchte mit enthusiastischen Bastel Masochisten fliegen.Für spontane Schnappschüsse vollkommen ungeeignet.Meine Hubsan ist zu groß um sie überall dabei zu haben, aber mit meiner 12€ Kinderdrohne gelingen IMMER UND ÜBERALL Schnappschüsse.Return
