Masterpiece
To say that this book is just a good book is a huge insult. I will explain why! For those interested in nature and biology as a whole, this book provides an opportunity to find out about DEATH and other things related to it. The concept of death in both animals and plants is presented so beautifully and elegantly that you almost fall in love with it. Heinrich provides the reader with most of the life (Beetles, Ravens, bot flies, vultures, bacteria and etc) that benefit from a carcass and in doing so, he makes it all sound so poetic. He also discusses the human way of death and why we should rethink how we bury our own species. All in all, a brilliant book, Highly highly recommended.
