Rock solid build, easy to install and adjust
I recently purchased the IXTECH boom arm in the Valiant model with the optional extension tube, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This mic arm is an absolute game-changer for my recording setup and frees up my desk so I can work during Zoom calls.Previously, I used a SHURE tripod. This was also a great product, but was bulky—almost seven inches across the base—and I wanted something that would let me use my desk and talk at the same time.Let’s hit the essentials:The build quality of this boom is exceptional. The arm is large (almost too large), metal, and solidly built, making it feel incredibly durable. The added height with the extension tube easily reaches over my monitors, providing a clutter-free workspace.Mounting the IXTECH boom arm also was a breeze. The C-clamp securely attached to my desk without budging, and if I ever need a different mounting option or feel inclined to drill holes in my desk, the grommet attachment is there for me. The boom arm folds easily. What sets this mic arm apart is its stabilization system. I can freely move the arm around without worrying about readjusting the angle or position of my microphone, camera, or other devices. It's a real time-saver, especially during zooms or podcast recordings. And in my experience, the microphone stays rock-solid and doesn't shake or rattle. If one of the three joints needs adjusting, a simple twist and tightening of a twist lock (can be done manually) is all that is required.I also appreciate the universal compatibility with microphone shock mounts and accessories. The IXTECH boom arm fits both 5/8" and 3/8" threading, making it suitable for a variety of setups. As others here have noted, cable management is the weakest feature. It is comprised of two plastic parts that snap/slide in place carefully over a cable guide tunnel. You must use care to avoid breaking these plastic covers, but once they are in place, you don’t have to fiddle with them again.I highly recommend this product as a worthwhile investment.

9.5/10 - better than more expensive brands!
I needed a boom arm for my Shure SM7B that was versatile not just in positioning the arm, but in vertical adjustment. Beforehand, I purchased a Gator Frameworks 3000 boom arm and didn't realize that this arm was limited to vertical positioning (sucks because it wasn't cheap!) So, I was in the pursuit of a new arm and lo and behold, this one hit it on the nail!PROS:- Extremely sturdy and didn't slide off my desk like the Gator boom- Super easy to install, even has an extension arm for further reach- Stable - hasn't moved an inch- Cost-effective against competitors - no need to waste more for limited features, this is enough!CONS:- The vertical positioning ball needs to be adjusted where the cutoff is holding the weight. If you just position the mic with the rolling ball open in the bottom, it will fall, but just takes some adjustment, nothing too hard (see photo)- The 3/8 adapter got stuck to my SM7B adapter so I suggest putting some lube or WD-40! It was a mission to take off, I had to ask my husband lol.Overall, 9.5/10 and great buy!

Form and Function!
As someone that is increasingly more and more on zoom calls in addition to someone that takes a lot of voice notes, I have been using my Blue Yeti X more and more. The mic comes with a desk stand that typically sits in front of my keyboard. So for the sake of more room on the desk and cleaner desk space, I decided to get a boom arm.I noticed a lot of options. I was hoping to avoid the top-dollar options while still getting something useful.I ended up giving this arm a try because it was reasonably priced as well as it looked good to me.I have been using the arm now for about a month and so far so good. I was concerned that the Blue Yeti X might have been on the heavier side but as you can see from the images, it's working out well. You can also see that I have a shock mount as well as a pop filter attached to the arm. I also really like that I don't always have to have it in the same position. And the fact that it comes with a height Extention provides even more options. This has worked out really well for me and I would recommend it.

First one is solid, second one is from a fridy shift in China
I bought two of these several months apart. The first one is absoultely worth the money and solid. The second one works "ok" but the fit of all the pieces is sloppy, flimsy and had I received it as my first. it would have been the last. I used some left over velcro wraps to help secure the plastic sides and cable tray from making creeking and popping noises when moved around.....but I shouldnt have too. Your results may vary.

Love it! Sleek, solid, adjustable.
Great versatility of positioning, and the adjustability of tensioning at the elbow means it can easily handle heavier microphones with shock mounts and pop filters. Does not easily resonate with ambient sounds the way some cheaper desk-lamp-style arms do. Multiple solutions for adjustable vs more permanent mounting are nice. integrated channels fit my heavy duty mic cable for a clean look. I use the included riser and it works great.

The dark horse of booms!
I really like the clean look and the additional riser included in the package! The the riser arm is optional to install but it can be helpful for cluttered spaces like a radio station may have.I wanted an updated boom arm that looks good on camera and is functional and sturdy. Forget about the “Australian” one. This is made just as well for a better price point. The cable covers complete the finished look and all of the stabilization is hidden within. It included the tool to adjust for microphone weight and stands where you place it without changing the angle of the microphone. A great product and I will definitely pick up more for a studio that I am building.

Microphone connector broke off
Was great until the microphone connector broke off. Unusable. The cable system is nice and looks great, just needs a metal mic connector instead of plastic.

Arrived damaged but didn’t care, then metal base snapped off 3 weeks later.
I had this for around 3 weeks I liked it and thought it worked great. It initially came damaged (shown in the 2nd photo) but it was minor paint damage on the height extension piece, but I didn’t care cause it worked. Just now I got home, sat down and rotated the stand to adjusted my mic to my head level and it just snapped off fast and clean. I was surprised Because it was metal, but it’s a cheap crappy alloy so I guess it didnt take much strain.

Sleek design. Feels reliable.
My only dislike of this product is the amount of product logo's on this. If it were all black this would be the perfect product. However, this is strong and reliable. and looks great on my desk. I feel my mic is secure on this mic arm.
