Works great and cheap to extend lights down in fixture
Worked great to hide some of the inside guts of the fixture. We did not use them though as we used the the retro recess fit. Our recess cans were so big and ugly that the other method was better than these extenders, but I would use them if you don't have a large can that holds the recess lighting. Our building was just too old. Great product though.

does not work with all LED bulbs
This is a qualified rating: the extender works fine with small/regular LED bulbs but, curious, does not work with larger LED spotlight or floodlight bulbs. I don't know why but this should be made clear in the mfg. description.UPDATE: problem solved: the base of these larger LED bubs fails to reach+ the center contact of the extender. The solution is to pull that contact out a bit. Once done the larger LED bulb work fine.

exactly what I needed to put some CFL flood lights in some tight housings
I had some old lamps that I wanted to use with CFL flood lights. The lamps would be too tight and not have enough airflow if I had screwed the bulbs directly into lamp and the bulbs would get too hot and die.This solved the problem.I knocked off one star. Two of them broke while trying to install

Do Not Buy
Awful. After leaving the bulbs on for a relatively short time (60W), the extenders melted onto the bulbs, and now the bulbs can’t be unscrewed. I have to throw the extenders and the bulbs away. One extender even broke inside the light fixture, and I’m not even sure it can be removed; I might have to change the whole light fixture. I’m glad I didn’t leave the lights on long - could have started a fire!

Great Product at a great price!
Product works well. Sometimes upon bulb removal the adapter stays with the light fixture instead of with the light bulb, but I don't consider that a real problem.

Never knew such product existed
The house is like 30% brighter. Got a bunch of different sizes and it works great and can be stacked too.

You get what you pay for.
They are working but they are cheaply made. Given the weight of the LED Arrays I have screwed into them, I have safety wired these expensive fixtures to the ceiling just in case one of these socket extenders falls apart. The LED fixtures are only 60 watts but who knows how much current these extenders can take without breaking down. They are not UL approved.

Great product sister is a little short and got sick an tired of using a step stool to change a bulb this was a game changer, brought the bulb down lower to change without a stool great buy
