I read reviews before I bought these fan/light units. Some said there was not a ground wire. Others complained that they could not tell the wires apart. Some complained it was flimsy. Some said it was hard to install. I decided to try one anyway.The unit was well packaged in molded Styrofoam. We read the instructions. We found that the wires were labeled "N" and "L" with stick on labels, and there was also a ground wire. The "L" means to me "live', but I think in electrician terms it means "Line". The "N" represents neutral.In our case, we were replacing existing fans or fan/light combinations, and the electrical box was already in the ceiling. We had a little problem lining up the attachment screws to secure the base to the electrical box, because it is hard to get high enough to see well. It just took a little patience and concentration.Out greatest difficulty was lining up the fan unit to the base. When you look at it in the box, it is easy to see how they fit together, but when installing on the ceiling, it was hard to get them lined up. In order to see if they are fitting, you have to have your eye next to the ceiling. We discovered that if put a small mark in the base at every connecting slot, and a corresponding mark on the fan unit section, it was easier to match them up, and connect them together. It was still hard to tell if all the slots were connected.We discovered that we had to cut the silver soldered ends of the unit's wires off, and strip off a section of insulation to get a proper connection. Having the 'safety wire' was a big help.We had a small glitch with most installations. (I tested one unit for a couple weeks, and liked it, so we ordered more, for a total of eleven fan/lights.) However, none of the difficulties had anything to do with how the new fan was made, other than what I mentioned about connecting the fan unit to the base.Some reviews said that the fan did not move enough air, and they could not feel the air. I found that if I had the fan reversed, I did not feel air movement. If I reversed it again, air movement was stronger. Perhaps it is not as strong as the previous traditional fans with long blades, but I do not want a fan blowing papers all around. I think the air movement on the highest setting is plenty.I enjoy being able to dim the LED lights with the remote, and I like changing the color of the light from cool to warm. Some of my family like one extreme, and others the opposite, so everyone is happy.Some reviewers said the unit seemed flimsy. I know it is lighter weight, but I think it is sturdy enough.I have learned how to use the remotes, and all of them work well. We have set all of them up with a wall switch controlling the fan/light operation. When I turn it on with the wall switch (the way I want it to operate, since we used a wall switch before), the light comes on. To get the fan to work, I use the remote control. I have not yet downloaded the app. I do have a complaint about the remote - I found it very hard to get the battery compartment open.I have used them for a few weeks, and like them.

I bought this to replace an old chandelier style fixture in what was once the dining room of my house. We no longer use it as such so a heavy hanging fixture was a big hassle since there isn't a table in the room anymore and hitting it with your head was awful.This hugs the ceiling closer than any of the ceiling fan fixtures already in place elsewhere in the house and it is SO QUIET in comparison to the others.Love the nightlight setting that puts gentle warm light upward and also the fact that it is so easy to change light temperature with the regular light settings. The brightness variability is excellent, too. I have a really difficult time seeing to complete tasks in warm lighting, but my spouse can't handle the white light all of time and especially in the evening, so the ability to immediately switch it up from warm to white and back has been an outstanding quality of life improvement for us!The fan changes directions for winter versus summer function. My only complaint is that the fan direction has to be reset every time the unit gets turned off. That is a very small thing to have to accommodate for, though.Installation was a little futzy for us due to age of the wiring in our home, but honestly we only ended up having to replace some connectors and that was it. If you're installing this in a place newer than the 40s/50s you should be in great shape as long the wiring was installed well from the start. We also had to purchase a new masonry but to drill the attachments into our very hard 1930s plaster ceiling and marking through the holes in the base where we needed the anchor holes to go was a comedy production trying alone, but with 2 people out was really fast and easy. I would never ever have been able to hold up the old fixture for the few minutes out took too get the wiring connected, but at only around 7 pounds this unit was eminently doable while my partner did the wire connections. The included holder for the remote came with a command strip sort of adhesive so we didn't even have to put a home in the wall to install that, which I really love and appreciate.I would absolutely purchase this fixture again. I love being able to dim or raise the lighting, switch it to nightlight mode, and operate the fan all with the remote right next to me instead of having to go futz with a wall switch. Added bonus is that the fan blades are sort of enclosed, so I don't have to stress about whether my bird gets loose with the fan running because they won't get hit with the big heavy blades! And again, my one complaint is about having to adjust the fan direction every time the unit turns on/off, but it's a very small thing.

Easy installation and works as it should. It’s very quiet which is great because it’s right over my bed. I love all the different light settings . I gave it 4 stars only because I couldn’t figure out how to pair it on my phone . No regrets

The media could not be loaded.  Well after rethinking for a while I told my husband I need a fan in my kitchen, however I didn’t want a traditional fan since the ceiling is low and my granddaughters like to get the broom and mop and play and they will hit the blades and may be a little bit of a pain, this has the blades enclosed and is very safe, will be great for bedrooms where kids sleep in bunk beds and the ceiling is low.Well I found this beautiful fan I love the design, so modern and unique, has 3 speed and timing settings for fan light, very easy-to-use remote control or download app fan lamp control or can also use a switch in the wall like regular a fan so very versatile.Very silent, love the remote control and has a timer 1 or 2 hours and has three levels of brightness3000K warm light, 4500k medium white, 6000k cool white, comes with all hardware needed, very easy to install and is also lightweight. Very happy with my purchase.

This was just as advertised. Easy install. Multiple settings for brightness. We put this fan in our living room (200 sq ft room) which sits directly above out L-shaped couch. We need the extra air movement in the summer as it gets very hot. My office sits adjacent to the living room in an open area, and I can feel the air movement (about 6 feet away). Small, but nice breeze. Haven't tried the app. The remote works great, but it's takes a bit to get used to. My only complaint, a small one, is that the unit looks a little unfinished. It could use a round stripe around the top of the fan to make it a complete flush mount with the ceiling. Otherwise, it's pretty sweet. Everyone that has scene this ceiling fan thinks it's pretty cool looking. This would be great for a center light for a small bedroom. Lots of light and lots of air flow.

It makes a great job of lighting and moving the air in a tight space.

This is a very good ventilation solution if you do not have an exterior exhaust system over the stove in your kitchen, you can connect through the app but we did use just the remote as my parents prefer the remote, but you do have the option of both remote and App, the build quality is plastic so do not expect high end luxurious looking ceiling fan, but it functions very well with not a very loud noise if used in middle level.The light is good but we do have spot lights and we do not use it as much.Overall, this is great for any kitchen that does not have an exhust that takes the air out externally.

The product advertised ease of install. This was misleading. The product installation instructions did not include all the steps required. Although the instruction pamphlet indicated there was technical support, there was no website or Internet address at which to contact the technical team. Very frustrating and totally unexpected and inadequate in this digital retail marketplace. The remote did not function at all even when, at my own cost, I replaced the batteries. This is by far the most frustrating product which I have tried to install. Even with the the assistance of my brother the installation was not successful. I will never again purchase a product from this manufacturer. I am returning the product. The best think about this product is the packaging which make its very easy to return the product.

First of all, you need to a little bit of handy if you going to install it, it is easy to install but still better to use expert services. It is lightweight, so easy to lift if installing it yourself. Finishing and design wise must say that looks like an expensive product with premium quality finishing, better than what I expected. Best feature is that it can be controlled by a remote or mobile app. Multiple different setting options are available on the remote as well but the mobile app is much more useful, no need to find a remote anymore. 3 different light settings were great as no need to worry about light color when selecting this light fan.
