Surprisingly good results - I'm a fan
UPDATE! In my original review, I had complained about how poorly the product dissolves. I now have a trick. I keep it in the freezer. This has solved two problems. One is that it dissolves more easily. Not sure why. The other is that it doesn't get caked in high humidity, because the freezer is low humidity. This has made the jar last longer and it's good till the last dose. Changed to five stars! Here's the original review, but I changed the section on taste. Thought I'd give beet power a try, based on reviews here, and articles I have seen recently. I was skeptical, and didn't expect to experience great results, but I was wrong.I tried BeetElite about an hour or so before a couple of runs, and I felt great during and after the run. My energy level was high, and my pace a bit faster than normal. Placebo effect? Maybe. But there's more.I also tried BeetElite before a couple of CrossFit-like classes. People in the class commented that they wished they could bottle my energy. This was where I really felt the BeetElite was a help. I was hefting more weight than normal, doing more reps, and I felt great. And although I experienced some post-class muscle pain, it was less than normal, and I still achieved more in class. I think this is beyond placebo.I use it before cycling now, and get the same great results. Good energy, no "wired" feeling, just feel great.Taste. I have gotten used to it the more I use the product. When I first tried it, I thought it was super "beety,", but on my fifth jar and I like it now. I use 10 grams or two scoops. AND.....No stomach upset!I'm glad I don't need to drink a big glass of this to get results. I will definitely buy it again.

It's not supernatural but it works...
My background: I was formerly a pretty serious runner, running 6-7 days/week, training for different work in federal agencies that require me to not talk about my training details in too much detail. That was years ago and I'm happily settling into the middle ages but even to this day I generally do a couple of speed workouts, a couple of recovery workouts and at least one LSD (long, slow, distance) run per week. I've used NO3 boosters before (Irwin) and this product is much more effective.I've begun taking this product before my HIIT and LSD runs, in particular before a moderate 5-miler where the first mile is a moderately steep incline that usually has me gasping by the end if I push hard. Now, I have NOT noticed any improvement during the hard push uphill. Where I do notice something, and quite dramatically, is in how quickly I recover from a hard push. Normally, after that 1-mill uphill drive, I'm pretty wiped out and do a slow jog for a few minutes. Prior to taking this product, it would take me at least three or four minutes of very slow jogging to catch my breath and resume a moderate jog pace, and even then I'd still be quite winded for another couple of minutes. With this product, and this was completely unexpected, I felt almost entirely recovered within a couple minutes--I ended up picking up the pace much earlier and shaving a couple of minutes off my total 5-mile time (although I'm really not trying to set any PR here).I've also noticed that I get a little more of a second wind on the back end of my runs. Normally, I'm pretty beat by the end of any run and kinda just stick it out at a nice slow pace till I hit home. With this product, despite my 5-miler including two pretty substantial incline pushes, I find a second wind kicking in during the last stretch and I'm cutting about 1:00/mile off my pace for the last mile and a half. And again, this is just a leisurely run and I'm not trying to set a PR.I was originally planning to take off a star for price. However, at $40 for 20 doses (and I don't even use a full dose), for $2/workout that's still cheaper than even a can of Red Bull and this does a far better job. I plan on continuing to use this product for my longer or higher-intensity workouts.

Anything is better than eating beets...
I wanted to try BeetElite (aka SuperBeets by the same company) because Andrew Wilkow from XM/Sirius radio advertises it. I got the black cherry flavor because I know I hate the taste of beets. I have been using BeetElite for a few weeks and I am sleeping better and feel better during the day plus my blood pressure has dropped to normal. Like many people who begin to use heath products, I have recently started dieting and changing my eating habits along with using this product and another veggie type drink. Therefore I can't say that BeetElite is the sole reason for my improvement but with the benefits of eating beets in a quick drink, I'm sure the product is helping. Buy the 40 scoops for the cheaper price- it is the same product.TASTE: The powder is so fine, I'm pretty sure it's microscopic. It mixes very easily and there is no grit. They recommend mixing with just enough liquid to take down in a single shot or gulp. I highly recommend this too (I do two gulps). The initial taste is OK but the after-taste sometimes makes me shiver. The drink is easily tolerable but definitely not 'delicious' as I've heard. The can says to ONLY mix with water. I checked with them and you can mix with any liquid as long as it isn't acidic (which would 'kill' some of the nutritional crystals). I mix mine with either grape or orange Powerade Zero and the extra flavor really helps out.
