The iteam does not work not only does it not work it will not even turn on. They started they would make it right by shipopping out a replacement iteam same exact thing there is no working screen and there is no way to do as they say take the as card out and re do the sd card this iteam doesn’t have a sd card stay away from this device from this seller I told them I would be willing to send it back and try one more time but I’m still awaiting the refund for the first device I sent back. Only thing they will tell you is sorry for the trouble. Find a seller that is selling the same one that does have a sd card if not your just stuck no way to acces the device and I will not be giving them any other chances to make this correct! They should have checked the device before sending it to make sure it is in deed a working unit that powers up. When you already have trouble shot everything else

I cannot give this more than 2 stars. It works kind of, when it wants to, on select modes. I right this review after 3 weeks of use. I had to send the 1st one back, it had an error with the wifi and would not let me log in (following the instructions).Pro’s: When it does work it is great on DMR. Cheaper then most (more on this)Cons: Only works when it wants to. The first issue I found came after a commercial power failure, power came back on, I rebooted the computer, hotspot booted up, showed like it as ready. Keyed the radio and did not even show the radio talking to the Hotspot. Rebooted, waited 5 minutes, it shows radio communicating with Hotspot, but Hotspot is not sending through to the internet. Reboot again, back to first issue, after several reboots, it finally boots up properly and connects to the servers. For the last 4 hours now, it has not worked properly, as stated multiple reboots, different errors.Cannot get it to even try to work on Dstar, it is advertised as such, but it doesn’t.Cheap: get what you pay for!!Tried to find a way here on Amazon to email the seller, but that seems to not work either.OH WELL, guess I will buy a different one or build one.

I have mine all setup.. and it connects to reflectors etc.. I find that when i connect to a reflector after a few minutes it will just disconnect and blink.. re-connect.. then after a few more minutes it will drop again.. not stable.. My Pi-Star MMDVM is rock solid like a little tank! Other issue is trying to log into it I get timeout issues, then once i finally log in.. and make a change it will crash and then have to unplug the power then plug back in.. Is there a website for support, downloads, firmware??? I am really close to send this paper weight back

After posting my original review of the OSTAR Hotspot which could not make a connection to the OSTAR internal router, GOOZEEZOO contacted me offering to ship a new OSTAR Hotspot. They provided excellent support answering my questions and sent me a replacement within a few weeks.Although setting up the OSTAR Hotspot is a bit challenging, GOOZEEZOO has now written an OSTAR Manual that shows how to set up the OSTAR Hotspot. In order to monitor and update the OSTAR Hotspot I found that I need to connect a computer to the OSTAR@XXXX wireless hub directly.I have used the OSTAR on DMR and have had excellent reports from the field. I believe it offers an economical alternative to the Pi-star MMDVM.

when i got it the board was loose and the unit stopped working.

Did not work and I tried everything suggested without success. Returned for a refund.

Would not connect to Wifi tryed all the options with internet carrier as well n they couldn’t get it to work, I guess I received the problem one …but shipping was fast n easy to return also “not impressed with seller.”👎

The documentation is buried on the Amazon page but it would be really help if they put a link to a website so you can down load it. Pw is the the ssid ID and replace the - with an @
