Essential Moisture Conditioner

I’m very happy with this Curlsmith conditioner. The bottle looks beautiful, clean, and high quality, and the pump design makes it very easy and convenient to use. It feels like a great product for anyone who wants to give their curls or textured hair extra moisture and care. What I like most is that it fits perfectly into a simple hair routine. It makes wash day feel more enjoyable and leaves the hair feeling cared for, softer, and easier to manage. This product has been working for me - I have 3A/3B curls - this product has helped define my curls, it isn't as frizzy, I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and this is working for me and my curly hair journey. I purchased this and the shampoo - both work for me!

After living in Italy, and I came upon the realization that I have to find hair products that work for me again. Italy has a brand called Epura that was amazing for me. Can I get it in the USA? No. I'm glad they have travel sizes, because my wallet has been hurting trying to find a brand that won't give me skin issues and works well for me. I was already using Curlsmith's leave-in conditioner and hydro-flexi gel. Those bottles last me about 3-4 months. I'm going to tell you this conditioner works very well and in conjunction with their other products. My waves were forming on their own in the shower. I'm on Day 3 or 4 (night shift worker). While my roots are a little greasy, and usually they are worse. My brushed out waves are still frizz free and looking fine. A little cornstarch for roots, or I'll start with an oil mask for the clean girl look for an extra day will be just fine. I have plenty of volume still. Curlsmith does it right. Type 2 (wavy), fine, and dense hair with random straight pieces of hair and random barrel/ringlet curls. (Who gave me those genetics?!) The only gripe that I have is that this is $10 more for a full size bottle($25-27) than what I am used to paying....but I digress. I'll take it because it works and I don't have skin issues from it like: dandruff, welts, redness, burning, or itching. My wallet is gonna hurt a litttle, but if I can go 4-5 days without washing my hair then I don't mind as much.

I genuinely like this conditioner. The smell is pleasant, but not overpowering. Used in combination with the shampoo ("cleanser") and co-wash from the same line, it leaves my hair soft and doesn't weigh it down. Recently, the grey strands in my hair have started getting kinda frizzy, and this works very well at taming them. Honestly, my only gripe is the packaging. Seriously, who thought this was a good idea? The pump on top is narrow and flimsy and IMPOSSIBLE to handle when your hands are wet. If you have a spare lid or pump from some other product you can swap out with this, you'll be fine. If the manufacturer is reading these reviews: PLEASE change the pump on these bottles. Even cheaper grocery store brands have better/more user friendly packaging than this. I would give this five stars in a heartbeat if it had a better pump, or came in a bottle with a normal cap.

My dry curls love this conditioner. It’s so worth the money. I sometimes add it to my leave in conditioner. It helps make my curls look so much like Shirley Temple that sometimes my students ask me if my hair is fake.

This conditioner works great on my very dry hair. I tried many conditioners but this beats all the rest. My new favorite.

Best hair products I’ve ever used. I love them all. My curls have never looked this good and I’ve tried alot of curl products. It’s a little on the expensive side for buying all 3 products but after using them and getting no frizz they are worth it to me.

DON'T DO IT! This is not the same Curlsmith product you know and love. The company was sold and the new formula causes major HAIR LOSS and DAMAGE. I had been using an older bottle of this product before the company was sold to Helen of Troy. The new company is saying nothing has changed, which is an absolute lie and you can see the picture below for proof. I used this a total of one time after receiving it in November 2025 and my hair started coming out in clumps. Please heed this warning, it's not worth you beautiful curls getting destroyed. If you have been using the new products and your noticing more fall out than before, consider yourself lucky and stop now before it's too late. Shame on you Curlsmith for once supplying great products and then selling to owners that are ruining people's hair they work so hard to keep healthy.

It has really good slip to help detangle it seems to be good for my curly hair also I’m just not fan of the smell

I’m really enjoying this conditioner for curly hair. It doesn’t have much of a smell but is very slippy and moisturising on my hair so easily gets knots and tangles out. Leaves my hair feeling soft and knot free.
