If its water repelling ability holds up over time, this will be a great jacket for use across a wider range of weather conditions than I would normally expect to be able to get away with just using a hoodie.It's warm, feels really comfortable, and the inside lining is soft. The arm length is perfect, and it's on the baggy side as described. I haven't tried it in the rain, but an initial test with water from a tap on the sleeve had the water bead straight off. When new, it looks like their claims of being able to shed some amount of water is dead on.I ordered the peat colour. It's greener than it appears in the product photos, but it's not obnoxiously so.

This was to replace a nearly identical Carhartt hoodie that finally wore out after 6 years heavy use in a lumber mill. This version has been updated with a rain resist treatment. Handles a little moisture, but is definitely not waterproof. Bottom line... Knit material will get saturated if out in the rain.Runs a size larger than stated, and is still comfortably roomy. I normally wear 2XL, and an XL is plenty big. The length is also generous. It's not going to ride up and let a draft in. I am 6' 3" and typically have trouble with sleeves riding up my arms when reaching, and the cuffs never leave my wrists with these.

I now have three of these. Two heavy duty and one light weight. Fall and winter I don’t leave home without one. I bought a size bigger than needed and it is like wearing a rain resistant blanket. Extremely comfortable and well made. Had an issue with one of the pockets having a hole in it due to factory error but got a replacement and it was an easy return. Bought this one on sale and saved 30% of local retail prices.

I needed another hoodie that was water repellent after 10 years of regular use. With the rainy season we've had here in Chicago recently, it was imperative that I pick up a new hoodie. I wasn't disappointed. It's been perfect and way more than I had expected. It's super soft, very roomy (especially for a tall guy like me), and is quite warm on cool days that don`t require a full size winter coat.When they say 2XL Tall, the really mean it! It actually falls past my back pockets on my pants. It's built pretty tough too. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with its comfort and performance. I have a feeling that this one will last easily as long as my last one.

I liked it but I'm looking for something a little lighter so I got the mid weight instead and return this one. I one a grey of this model and owned it for 8yrs and still looks good I just wanted something less stiffer

I wear talls in everything i have and this is VERY tall. keep in mind when ordering. not a problem for me just was surprised how long it was

This is a comfortable zip hoodie. It is very warm. Warmer than I expected from a sweatshirt type jacket. I have a Carhartt medium weight pull over sweatshirt that I left at a friend's house in another state and need something for my daily walks until I can get it back. This heavy weight is much warmer. When I'm walking (16 minute miles) I can only wear this when the temperature is 40 or below or it's too warm. I don't normally wear this in the rain but it has started drizzling a couple times while I was out and the water beaded up and ran off, so I'm impressed with rain resistance. I suspect that a heavy rain wouldn't go so well though, but I have a rain jacket for that. I like the fit and comfort and the warmth. I highly recommend this zip hoodie.

its great, real comfy, feels like good quality, decently thick.2 main and only issues: it hangs too much below my waist and it is also tight around the waist when zipped up. Not sure why it is like this, maybe because it is meant for layering? But I personally don't layer things under this so it just hangs quite a bit below my waist (like if I wear a coat on top of this jacket, the jacket will peek out under the coat and hang a couple inches below my coat). second issue is that it is really tight on only the waist when you zip it up. Like really tight. when you have this jacket zipped it gives you this huge awkward buldge coming out of your stomach area (the same buldge you get when you wear jeans on your crotch). Kind of unfortunate this happens, I generally leave this unzipped for that reason.I am 170lbs and 5"11 and ordered a medium. I think a small would have been too small so a medium works.

I have trouble finding loose clothes that fit the way I like without being too long. This sweater met and exceeded my expectations. It not only fits the way I like but is very thick and durable. It’s also somewhat water resistant, I wear it as a winter jacket with a lighter hoodie underneath and I’m warm enough, plus the moisture from the snow doesn’t soak through the sweater which is impressive. Overall just a great sweater that justifies its somewhat hefty price tag.

Fits properly and is warm. Carhardt makes a great product and the jacket is an excellent example of good workmanship
