I haven't woke up choking since I started using these!
I've been forced to sleep on my back because of an injury and I would usually wake up once or twice a night choking. I was able to track it to sleeping with my mouth open causing the back of my tongue/etc to drop back. I did a sleep study but it wasn't bad enough to get any help, but it's very unnerving knowing I'm going to wake up in a panic for a second or 2 until I can jerk my head up.I tried the straps to keep my mouth shut but those hurt my jaw/head a lot. I also didn't like the idea of the other mouth pieces that alter my jaw position while I sleep. I didn't buy one of those but sounds uncomfortable and could lead to TMJ or other jaw issues I figure.Long story short, bought these to give a shot and they actually worked a lot better than I was expecting. My mouth doesn't stay 100% closed, but it's enough to avoid any choking/etc. The tape secures well enough even though I have a full beard. I can also undo and resecure if I forgot to take a pill or want a drink of water. Does it hurt a little taking it off in the morning? Sure but it doesn't pull hair, so no big deal. Also speaking is difficult/impossible with it, obviously. Only nitpick I really have about it is the small slit that is a sub piece of tape. It doesn't really tear out. It usually just ends up getting stuck to my lower lip and I rip it off separately, but it would be nice if there was just a hole there to begin with than a perforated piece of tape. Guessing it was done that way as a cheaper manufacturing step.Anyways, these cost about a quarter each and I'm going to keep using them as long as I have to sleep on my back. I think they are worth every penny (all 25).

So easy to use, and good for overall respiratory health, too!
After my first-use initial night, which was basically a "learning curve," these little individual mouth tapes have done the trick for me ever since. The individual strips fit my lips very well, and they stay on all night. Only on the first morning did peeling off the strip sting a little, almost like a waxing pad. Every subsequent morning, the strips have peeled off without incident, and any little adhesive residue washes off very easily. Most importantly, they do their desired job! Using them ensures that I breathe out of my nostrils, and, while I'm not a big snorer, I no longer awaken with a dry mouth because my mouth normally falls open when I'm in a deep sleep. A couple of weeks in, I'm a fully satisfied customer...and I chose this brand because (a) they are popular; (b) they are very well-reviewed; and (c) they cost half the price of major competitors.

Compared to Somnifix
When purchased in equal quantities Dr. Johnes Sleep Strips are about half the price of Somnifix. The adhesive of DJ strips extends completely to the end of the product. The advantage is that the adhesive covers a wider area. The disadvantage is that it is harder to remove from its backing and from one's mouth. The tiny center breathing port of the DJ strip has the annoying habit of not coming off when the strip is removed from its backing. This means that it will generally end up on your upper lip in the morning, which may vex some users. As with all things, much comes down to personal preference. If you are a Somnifix user the Dr. Johnes Sleep Strip is worth a trial.

No more dry mouth for me!
This product has saved my mouth from many a dry morning. Prior to finding this product I would wake up most mornings with my mouth dry and tongue shriveled (yes, that bad). Since I have been using it I have not had one bad experience. The adhesive sticks well to the lips and doesn't rip off my mustache hairs in the morning. Some mornings it does become a game of hide and seek for the strip, but it gives me a good laugh to see where it ends up.Overall, I would recommend this product for sleepers to combat the dryness of mouth breathing. The small opening in the strip does allow you to breathe a little through your mouth so you don't feel suffocated.I definitely plan on using this product in the future!

Works perfectly No smell No pain
I love that this has no offensive adhesive smell to bother my asthma and it does not hurt when I remove the strips in the morning. I am able to wear it all night comfortably and it has improved my sleep quality, my dry mouth, no more bad breath and my teeth are returning to white again from yellowing. I am consistently sleeping through the night again for the first time in over 5 years!! I tried so many others that were offensive smelling or painfully sticky or that would not stay on all night. Dr John's Sleep Strips are the best, hands down!!!

The BEST mouth strips ever used!
My husband has tried multiple other products, including the brand name one, and these are his absolute favorite! Easy to peel off the cellophane sheet (a great feature!) They seem to be a little bit larger which cover his mouth well! He has not had trouble removing them in the morning - says there is perhaps a little more of a tug on his mustache but the fact that they stay on all night is well worth that extra tug ;-) He is a true Dr. Johnes convert!!! Thank you for such a great product!!!!! (All the exclamation points are 100% sincere!)

They work nicely
Dr. Johnes Sleep Strips do the trick. After a some dental work some years back, it got hard for me to keep my mouth closed all night and sometimes wake up feeling like a parched desert. These strips stick well, come off gently and keep my mouth closed. Breathing is fine and the small slit in the middle lets me sip through a straw if I wake up in the night and need water.

Just meh
Edit: my star rating was changed because they refunded my purchase. So their customer service is good.I’ve tried several brands now because mouth taping really stops my snoring and lets my partner sleep. Looking at the reviews for this I was excited because a 90 pack for such a good price, I was excited. These resemble the somnifix strips BUT they’re smaller and offer less coverage and the adhesive is about 50% less resilient. Most nights these somehow collect a lot of moisture (never had this issue with somnifix or hush tape or even the tiny x tape) and one of these is typically falling off by the middle of the night. I’ll use them since they’re bought them, but never again. These really suck.
