Septic System Drain Field Soil Treatment

Three years ago, we were having seepage from our leachfield and distribution box. Partly it was due to requiring a new distribution box so we replaced the box, but the seepage in the leachfield was still there. We purchased this Septic Perc and the Mega Bio and treated the septic system with it. A couple of weeks after treatment, we saw an improvement to the leachfield. Every year since then, we've added a gallon of Septic Perc to our septic system and we have had no problems at all with our septic. When we get our septic pumped every year, we get glowing reports from the service company that our septic tank and leachfield are perfect! This product saved us $10,000 from replacing the septic system and we are forever greatful!!

In 2015 my system came to a complete halt due to the leech field being clogged with bio-mat. We found West End Marketing which had a product at the time called Septic Seep. We bought a case and treated our system. Within two weeks our system was clear which I verified with a sewer cam. The thick, dark bio-mat was completely gone and the pipe was clear.Fast forward to 2019, the system came to a very slow flow over a few months. Septic Seep was no longer available, so I decided to try the Septic Perc replacement. Four months later, the system is at a complete stall again. While Septic Seep was an awesome product, Septic Perc is not. I can't blame the company. They were probably pressured by the EPA to produce a more environmentally friendly product than the Seep was. However, now I'm back to square one facing a total system makeover which I was trying to avoid.

As a lay person you never really know about this kind of product, but I've been using Septic Perc for a few years now and it seems to be working as advertised. I use it to maintain a septic system is over 25 years old and still functioning well.

Seems to have helped some. Time will tell. I think it will be best to continue the treatment .

1.5 years later - After doing a bit of research on this I've concluded this is probably a lime/sulphur or similar solution. I think the enzyme treatment may be beneficial but I doubt the liquid has any meaningful effect.

I'm very disappointed for septic perc. Maybe got angry because the septic perc did'nt work. I bought 4gallon and poured that in a leach field but the leach field can't absorb anything. No change. I think I lost 254$
