5 Star Product, 5 Star Company, 3 Star Price
Supplements are regulated like foods by the FDA, so restrictions are much looser than for drugs. In addition, claims regarding efficacy aren't often backed by science, so I don't review supplements based on those claims. There are simply too many personal variables to definitively determine how a supplement will affect an individual. So instead I rate them based on ingredients, 3rd party testing, the company's reputation, and dosage cost.General consensus is that the ingredients in Force Factor Somnapure are all helpful in helping you fall asleep. Melatonin supplementation is especially useful if you’re deficient. I’ve found that the sweet spot for me is 5mg, so one of these tablets is all I need. I checked all of the ingredients on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) website and didn’t find any of concern.Force Factor is a well known company with an excellent reputation in the bodybuilding community. They produce their products in a cGMP compliant facility and require the same from their suppliers. They state that their products are quality tested throughout the manufacturing process, and the finished goods are also tested. That’s exactly what you want in a supplement company, as there are many untrustworthy manufacturers.Dosage cost is $0.66, or $20/month, $240/year. Divide that all by two if you’re only taking half the recommended dosage like me. That’s quite high compared to the simple melatonin I currently take, which is only about $15/year.Are the extra ingredients worth the higher price? You’ll need to find out for yourself. For me, given the rather large amount of money I spend on other supplements, I’ll probably not use these daily and reserve them for times when my cheapo single ingredient melatonin isn’t doing the trick. 5 Star product, 5 Star company, 3 Star price. 4 stars overall. Still recommended though.

Melatonin+ may sometimes yield better sleep
Different people have different experiences with sleep aids, even on different occasions with the same sleep aid. After I used the recommended dose of these (2 tablets) on four different occasions, my sleep was sound and all-night once, particularly restless once, and "the usual" the remaining two times (getting up once to use the bathroom). The sound, all-night sleep was after returning home with a 2-time-zone change (went to bed at 11:30pm according to my body clock). But the restless sleep was also after returning home late from a trip, this time with a 3-time-zone change. So your mileage may vary with this sort of supplement. My doctor prescribed 100mg of Gabapentin (aka Neurontin) for nerve pain in my back resulting from a bulging disc. This medication has a side effect on making you sleepy, and in fact some patients use it a sleeping pill. I find that it very reliably kicks in about an hour after taking it, and wears off 5-6 hours later. If you need a reliable sleep aid that works almost every time, you may want to ask your doctor to prescribe something. If you want to use something more "natural" like this product, you should use it for a month and carefully measure whether you experienced improvement, on the average. In any case, these tablets were packaged well and safely. They are fairly large, so you wouldn't want to have the recommended dose (two, an hour before bedtime) in one even larger tablet.

Restful sleep at last
I tend to have problems of intermittent insomnia. When I'm on a cycle of sleep problems, it can feel like I'm losing my mind. Oddly enough, I had never tried melatonin, however. So I was happy to give this a shot and see how it goes. I'm happy to report that about an hour after taking these, I was feeling very pleasantly sleepy. So I went to bed, and feel like I skipped the tossing and turning I usually experience and drifted right off to sleep. I didn't sleep through the night, because I had to get up to use the bathroom once or twice, but I found it very easy to just slip right back into sleep. So that's already a vast improvement in my sleep quality right there. And at 48 years old, I can't expect to actually sleep through the night without having to get up to pee. The only real downside for me is that I did have a bit of difficulty waking up in the mornings after taking these pills. This didn't last a very long time, but it was a noticeable sluggishness. Still, if you suffer from insomnia, this may be the thing to break that cycle for you.

Helps my sleep, I feel more refreshed
I have a problem of waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get back to sleep. After taking these, I still wake up, but now I find it easy to gently fall back to sleep. The next day I don't feel all drowsy like how other sleep aids affect me.The tablets are on the large size, so I need a good glass of water to wash it down. If I don't swallow them quick they leave a nasty taste in my mouth. They also leave a feeling like I didn't swallow them all the way, like it's stuck in my throat. There are 60 tablets, and you take two a night, so this is a 30-day supply. At first, they seemed a little strong, and I slepted-in too much, so I've cut back to one tablet. That's a better dose for me. I think I need to try them a couple of more weeks to give a full opinion, but as of now they seem to be a positive effect on me. They're better at not causing drowsiness during the day than other sleep aids. They don't upset my stomach or cause headaches. For me, The one thing I'd like to see a smaller size tablet, and at a lower dose.

A Decent Sleep Aid
Sometimes, I have trouble falling asleep, and I've found using Somnapure can help with that. I'm cautious about using sleep aids too often, because I don't want to develop a reliance, but when I'm in a bad spell this has helped me get the sleep I need to function.
