Lightweight
Very lightweight and comfortable. they appear to be well constructed. I liked the way that the lacing is different but initially the sliding tab can be a bit stiff. I found that they were stiff to wear at first but were soon broken in and very easy to wear. I didn't much like the matt finish but a little shoe polish makes them shed the dust more effectively. They have a very comfortable insole and a firm outsole which makes them good on rough terrain. I like them enough to buy a second pair.

Not water resistant
Comfortable and very light. Not what is call a walking shoe though because it has a mesh upper that lets water in. However as a "trainer" or everyday wear pair very good and well made. Easy to slip on and off too. The laces are very thin. But this may be less of an issue because once adjusted to suit they don't need to bed tied/tightened again like standard laces. Not had then long enough to test this guess though.

Excellent value shoe
I ordered my usual size10 and they were spot on. Plenty of room for a hiking sock if needed. Really comfortable and lightweight and the quick laces worked well although they are a little stiff at first. Only done a couple of hikes so far but they definitely seem to be a good shoe for the price.

Not waterproof
On balance a good quality, well built comfortable out of the box walking shoe. The only negative is that the shoes are not waterproof. I went out last week (only my second time wearing the shoe), with the dog walking only on pavements and my feet were wet through when I arrived back home. Yes it was quite heavy rain but I deliberately avoided walking through any standing water. It's a real shame because otherwise they are excellent. I won't be returning the shoes, I'm going to buy some waterproof repellent spray for them instead. My overall rating is 3.5 as a result.

Take me to Kansas!
Took a punt on these for work, because there was a discount deal. I’d never heard of Nortiv 8, but I looked them up and found out they are a popular U.S. company. They’re very well made and I like the lacing system, but most importantly, they’re very, very comfortable from day one. I found them true to size, so I don’t know why other sizes are apparently too big? I’d definitely buy this brand again

Decent for the price
Very comfy and lightweight not tried in rain yet but no need to break them in only bad thing (for me) is the toggle on the laces can be a bit stiff which makes it more fiddly to put on/off

Poor Quality
Bought these after reading the reviews and thought they would meet my needs, and because they were on a reduced price. I have bought other trainers from Amazon at low prices and have had good experiences however on opening the box I was struck by the amount of cheap looking plastic trim and on trying them on one of the toggles came away which did not fill me with hope that these would last very long.Returned immediately and received a refund
