Masterproofing Long Banneton Basket- 44 * 9 * 5.5cm

The steep walls fo this basket make them difficult to flour properly. The dough has a tendency to stick as a result.

You have to line it with greaseproof if you want to get the bread dough out.

I like using a banneton because it leaves attractive ridges in the bread crust. I have round, oval and now this one: you have to get the dough mixture right so that when you turn it out it stays in shape, but the ridged, floury crust looks great. Kept well floured, the dough will not stick and will turn out well every time you prove it in the basket. A good buy for the keen bread maker.

Well made and highly useful proving basket that leaves the right shape before baking.. have to get used to it though but i will be using it all the time from now on..

Excellent. The same comment and rating for the oval banneton, already used for a rye sourdough loaf, with great results.
