Received this cute box of timers today. Of the ten "three minute" timers: three have blocked sand and don't work, one runs for 2:30, one runs for 3 minutes, three run for 3:16, and the last two run for 3:30. I'm keeping because I only needed four timers that are approximately three minutes. If you're looking for dependability on all 10 timers, this is not the product for you.UPDATE: we received a unrequested refund from provider. Updating review to four starts due to ease of working with this seller.

Inaccurate, sand clogged too quickly
I bought these and quickly realized that all of the timers kept different times, some slow, some fast. Then, the sand stopped even moving through the timers. I'm disappointed I spent money on these.

Ok for the price
Most of them have a tendency for the sand to stick leaving the timer stopped half way through. If you tap it it will continue but I was hoping to use these in my teaching centers for the kids to self monitor time. There were 3 of the 10 that seem more reliable, but even these need an occasional tap. For the price they are ok but I would not use them to keep track of anything critical. I should also mention that I live in Hawaii so some of the issue may be with humidity. Something to keep in mind if you live in a humid region.

Perfect and great for young kids
I loved the lava-looking oil timers but somehow they keep breaking and they’re super messy & slippery on hard floor. With these I don’t have to worry about breakage or messiness they don’t break easily and they come in a pack of ten at a good price. Great for preschoolers. Currently have one in my take a break going for 3 minutes and the kids enjoy it just as much as the funky oil timers.
