While some reviews mention receiving a bag of sticks, I'm happy to report that the bag I received was exactly what I expected: cut and dried epazote leaves. The leaves are a beautiful green color and have a pleasant aroma. I've attached a couple of pictures to show the quality of the product.I'm very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for dried epazote leaves.

The plant matter in the bag *appears* to be epazote, but it is definitely NOT "100% pure epazote LEAF"; I seriously doubt it's even 30% leaves by weight. The pictures I've added make it seem better than it is, because once I shook it after taking them, it became even more clear that it's almost entirely woody stems. Also, because the leaf matter is far less dense than the fragments and sticks of stem, it's nearly impossible to separate it out in any way other than meticulously picking out the parts you don't want (e.g. it took me about three minutes just to get a half-tablespoon's worth of crushed leaves). I know it's just $8, and I probably could've just returned it, but I don't want anyone else to get ripped off.TL:DR This product should be removed from Amazon and the seller should be fined in order to refund purchasers, because it is clearly meant to be a scam.

I add epazote when I cook bean soup. It has a wonderful but not overpowering flavor. Glad I found this nice clean product. Thanks!

I expected more flavor. It was good

I didn’t need to sift through these leaves to remove any stems: there were no stems. Good purchase.

I like this product. Its so good and organic.
