Just a bunch of plastic. Not secure at all.
I opened the box expecting it to be metal, it is supposed to be a safe after all. It is just a plastic box with a plastic drawer. Having a family I have always asked myself the question: Have I done EVERYTHING in my power to keep my weapons from being accessed? So I thought that a $350 bedside safe that was also a radio etc. that I could bolt to my night stand would be a good thing.It isn't. It's plastic and it wouldn't keep a kid with a hammer out for two or three minutes.I also found the Biometric lock to be very inconsistent. When I need access to my gun inconsistent just is not good enough. Sent it back two days after Christmas.

The biometric function is horrible on this thing. I've scanned, reset, then rescanned my fingerprints dozens of times, yet the scanner does not recognize my fingerprints even after just a few minutes. let alone in the middle of the night when I might need to get quick access. I've had to use the key to open the safe more often that using the scanner. I cannot rely on this safe opening in the event of an emergency unless I use the key, in which case, why have a biometric scanner in the first place? I didn't buy this so I would have to find the key to open it. Also, as a gun safe, it's no substitute for a real heavy duty metal gun safe. It's mostly plastic so a good hit with a bat would break it open. At best, it camouflages it's true purpose pretty well.

Don't waste your money
Worked for about a year. Now the bio-metric doesn't work and the LED readout is unreadable. Don't waste your money!

Fraudulent product description
If you're looking for a really expensive alarm clock that can play your iPhone, then this is great. But if you trust the fact that the product specifies that it is a biometric safe, then save your money. It works once, but then never again. Maybe I just happened to receive the only item in Cannon's inventory to be defective, but that seems highly unlikely. Save your money.
