A glass artists best friend!
The media could not be loaded. I've been using these tweezers to pull glass splinters out of my hands for years. They never failed me and still work as good as they did on the first day I uses them. Definitely a hand saver!

First Aid Kit Essential!
These are a must for a first aid kit.1) Very precise (i.e. pointed & sharp)2) Easy to remove splinters/stingers/ingrown hairs.3) Great replacement for the tweezers typically included (or NOT) in pre-made first aid kits. Those are typically plastic and not very durable or precise.4) They are compact which is a great plus because the short size makes the tip easier to control.5) People with large fingers will be able to maneuver them because they have a wider surface unlike typical cosmetic tweezers. They also work perfectly well for my small hands.6) They have a slide-on cover that protects the whole tweezer rather than just the tip which is very helpful because it won't slip off easily and it's harder to lose.Highly recommmend!!!CAUTION: These are NOT for cosmetic hair removal. They are too sharp. Especially for the deliciate skin in your eye area.

MACHINISTS AND LUMBER HANDLERS LISTEN UP.
This review is for all you machinists and lumber handlers out there who are always picking up a sliver or splinter that just can't be reached with your knife or fancy tweezers. In the same way that RainEx is one of the few products out there that does exactly what it's supposed to do, these low tech tweezers can't be beat for what they're supposed to do. I just bought a second pair. These tweezers not only have a nice fine point on them, they also have a burr rolled over the edge where they come together. The burr works beautifully to dig in and even remove a little divot of skin if that is what's necessary to get those really dug in buggers. I would recommend you keep these tweezers in your tool box rather than carry them around in that little side pocket of your jeans. I bought a pair of these 20 years ago from a cash register line, (and have been trying to find another for years) which I carried in my pocket and that practice eventually wore off the burr which is the key to success with these tweezers. Don't jack around, buy these tweezers. Actually save yourself some time and buy two. After you use these you'll wish you had.

Great for splinters, not eyebrows
I originally purchased these after reading glowing reviews on Miracle Point for plucking eyebrows.Don't bother. These are SPLINTER tweezers. They have very sharp points and will cut your hairs in half, making for some really odd-looking eyebrow stubbles. I reverted back to my old trusted Clover Thread Tweezers for expert eyebrow removal. Unlike Miracle Point, Clover's tweezer surface is flat all the way around, which allows for some easy plucking. I rate this a 2-3 star for eyebrows.I use Clover for plucking eyebrows:http://www.amazon.com/Thread-Tweezer-Clover/dp/B004KYX7DY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421012901&sr=8-1&keywords=clover+tweezer#customerReviewsI had to use these today for an actual splinter and was quite impressed. My co-worker ended up with a nasty metal splinter in his thumb which was buried under his skin; it was a horizontal splinter so it didn't stick straight up. I had to pick and pick at his thumb until I finally dug it out but Miracle Point pulled it out after a while; not sure a regular tweezer would have gotten it; you would have probably needed a needle in addition to break the skin but Miracle Point did both. Great job! Five stars for splinters!

Not gonna be nit picky
See what I did there? Picking nits? lol. I slay me.Anyway, they’re good tweezers. They’re not great ones. I have a couple pair of Uncle Bills little tweezers I keep on my key rings for most chores. I was looking for a dedicated pair to put in my truck first aid kit. I think these will be okay. They seem to be well made. The machining of the tips is good and even. Not too sharp but flat and grippy. Overall length is obviously a bit short and the metal is thin enough to have some flex to it.Are they a $25 pair of surgical tweezers? No. For $7 will they serve their purpose? Yeah, they’ll do. I’m satisfied. Oh, the little plastic sheath thingy is a nice touch also.I’d buy this again. Thanks for reading

Excellent splinter removers!!!! Do yourself a favor and buy two pair
I was looking for a new pair of tweezers for fine electronics work, when I ran across these splinter expert tweezers. They looked like they might come in handy if I ever got a splinter so I added them to my cart. The day that they came in from Amazon I got a splinter embedded deep into the heel of my foot. I had two pair of tweezers from my medicine cabinet trying to get the splinter out, and I was just getting more and more frustrated. I remembered my amazon package so I opened it up and there they were, the splinter expert tweezers. I was able to get the splinter out right away with these excellent tweezers. The alignment is excellent, the tips are sharp, and they grasp a splinter like nobodies business. The best part, right on the package it states MADE IN THE USA!!! Hooray for not supporting communist China!! I don't think they would be good for electronics work, but for splinter removal they are the best I have used. They are probably good for plucking stray hairs also.

Not worth it
These tweezers grab just like any ordinary tweezers. They have no finger grips either. Buy yourself some high end womans' vanity tweezers. These ones fell out of the case too, somewhere, so I lost them. For the money, it's not worth it.
