Good budget merino
It's not as good as the 100% merino tops but you still get most of the benefit, by which I mean it's comfortable, warm, you forget you're wearing it, and it doesn't have any noticeable smell until after 3-4 days of use (I could wear a 100% version for over a week without it needing a wasy; most other materials only a day). For the price (because the really good ones are far too expensive), this is pretty good. If you work outdoors in winter, buy 2 or 3 for the price of one really good one, and just wear them on rotation. For anyone who's not had merino stuff before - this is thin, a base-layer, you don't want to be wearing it as your "top" layer even when it's warmer or indoors, because it's fairly fragile. If you wear it how it's meant to be used, it's fine.

Not just a base layer
I've bought five of these over the last two to three years. Rather than wear as a base layer I often wear them on the outside over a cotton tee shirt or polo type shirt. They're quite light and very breathable. I can wear virtually the same all year round, indoors and outside. Perhaps with the addition of a waterproof jacket or heavier coat in the middle of winter. I've been very happy with how they've worn. Only now after a couple of years of fairly constant wear are they just starting to show signs of pilling caused by rubbing. This isn't a serious problem and I could still wear them as base layers if it was. I am careful to air dry them on a hanger rather than say put them in the tumble dryer due to them being wool. One of the oldest and still one of the best materials for comfortable garments though, even if it has to be treated with a bit of respect and kept away from cloths moths.

Favourite base layer
Good warmth as expected. Has a non-tight feel, which is the best thing about this since compressive clothing can influence your natural breathing pattern.Only criticism is noticing the brief itch of the wool, which was a minor thing when it was new, but it's easy to forget you are wearing a base layer.Wearing it as I type this and has done me well through the N.Irish winter.Note the quarter zip gives a nice look under the right layers. I skip the tee shirt and wear a hoodie and or jacket over it

Toasty
We now have 4 each of these (7 from original supplier) which are stiill as good as new, and have enabled us to keep the central heating down to 17.5 - 18.5 degrees all winter, so I reckon they've more than paid for themselves.Just remember they contain merino wool, so be sensible with washing machine settings and detergent used.

Good.
These are good. Hold their shape and we’re good at the price I bought them.

Light but effective
I bought this to replace a similar item I'd 'outgrown', despite being wool, it's not at all itchy/scratchy and the polyester provides enough stretch for it to be snug but not tight - it's a perfect base layer, yes, it's not opaque, but it's breathable and a base layer and as such, you need to be wearing something over it. The zip is nicely shielded so there's no rubbing or chafing on the neck. Not cheap, but I'd say definitely good value for money.

Not 100% wool which I thought it was
On the first wash thinking it was 100% wool I washed it seperate. No spin at 40c. Hang it up somewhere to drip dry.Disappointed at seeing the label 80% wool, 20% polyester. It is nice and good as a very light mid layer. I wouldn't of brought it if I'd of known it has synthetic fibres in it. This info was missing from the sales pitch. All that said It is good and I may well buy a 2nd at some point. Would make a great summer early doors jumper packing up st next to nothing once it warms up for us early risers.
