Great If You Can Handle The Taste
Personally I have noticed the somewhat bitter, medicinal taste that is lurking under the artificial sweetener, the same one pointed out by many reviewers. However, I never found it to be overwhelming or all that unpleasant.Pure caffeine is extremely bitter, you usually don't notice because things containing it are extremely sweet, or the caffeine is diluted in a large volume of liquid. You don't have that luxury with something like chewing gum, so you're going to taste the caffeine a little--this stuff isn't the best tasting gum, but I never found it to be that unpleasant, either.I don't drink coffee and I've mostly cut soda out, so I've been using caffeine pills when I needed a boost and found them to be very harsh, and they also take a long time to take effect. The caffeine delivered through the gum seems to arrive quicker, and doesn't upset my stomach like the caffeine pills did. Based on its effectiveness and not entirely objectionable taste I can't not recommend the product...though I think you should buy an individual pack of it at a gas station before investing in a $20, 8-pack box of the stuff.

I LOVE THIS STUFF!!
As a self-proclaimed college student, I think this gum is a scientific revolution in itself. Sure, it may be a tad bit more pricey than regular gum, but just think. The price of two burritos and the speed and focus of a cheeta can be yours. This gum comes in some sleek packaging and honestly tastes like regular extra mint gum. (Plus, its lasts just as long). The pieces look large but they fit in my mouth just find and feel like a comfortable amount. Just two of them wakes me up fine in the morning if I forget to grab my cup of coffee on the way out the door to class. Plus, if you need a quick pick me up in the afternoon, BAM! There you go! In conclusion, these solved my caffeine addiction problem without breaking the whole bank. 10/10, Totally will buy again.

My favorite
This is my second box. I really like this gum. I don’t drink coffee and I’m trying to avoid soda so I found this on my search for other energy sources. I’m nursing so other “energy” drinks aren’t an option. I like that this is the equivalent of a cup a coffee (which is allowed while nursing) it’s just enough to help me get going without any crash. I really like the mint flavor. I use to do caffeine mints and these have totally replaced those. Love the case I can get here on amazon. I originally discovered these at the grocery store. These will be going on subscribe and save for sure.

A little extra energy when you need it...
This gum was available in my local grocery store. I came across it one day and thought to give it a try. I work a lot, six days a week - not always by choice - and have been feeling much more tired of late. I *am* able to have a couple cups of coffee throughout the day, but lately, that doesn't always seem to be enough. I found these, and although it says it only has the caffeine equivalent to half a cup of coffee, it does give me that extra "oomph" needed to complete my shift. The gum itself is mint (that I've come across anyway - if there are other flavors, I'm unaware of it) and it's not bad, just a somewhat mild flavor. I'd like the mint to be a little stronger, personally, but it's fine. One of the only things I don't like is the first taste. My guess is the caffeine itself is what COATS the shell of the gum, rather than actually being IN it. There's a slight bitter (and that may not be quite the right word, but for lack of a better term at the moment, I will say bitter) taste, but it soon wears off into just the mint. The other thing I don't like is the packaging. I do like being able to get to them easily, so I'm not really complaining, but they are somewhat "flimsy." Each part holds two separate pieces of gum, but they can break open easily. I had to search around in my pocket for a piece that had broken open accidentally. Maybe if they were each in their own package, it might be better? All in all, I like this product. It says caffeine gum and it does what it says. It helps to perk me up when I'm near the latter end of my shift and starting to feel my energy dragging. Would recommend...

Effective and tastes okay
Gives you 40mg of fast-acting caffeine. I use this when I need a bit of a bump to get me through the end of the day. The taste if fine considering how bitter caffeine is. The 40mg size is excellent. Whie sometimes I wish it were 50mg, it is much more useful than the 200 mg pills. It acts faster, and there is not need to break a 200mg pill down and attempt to create a manageable dose.

Great energy and mental booster without serious drugs!
I work for an inventory service which means I work hard fast and very odd hours most of the time! Alert helps me get through the 4-6-8 hr slump whenever it shows up! Really helps and tastes great, even after the coating is gone. Sometimes I share with my co workers and they like it too...but sometimes I keep it all to myself! Use about two pieces a day, never jittery, just ALERT!

The fastest way I know to boost alertness
I have a job where I need to be alert and on task at all times. Liquid coffee just doesn't seem to do the job sometimes (and certainly not quick enough). This gum works well as a bridge to perking me up while I have enough time to drink the coffee and having it take effect. One piece usually does the trick but I have been known to use two at a time when I am particularly sleepy.

Works but be careful
When I opened the shipping box I noticed that the actual package itself was open and messed up which I didn't like. After inspecting them, they seemed fine. The product itself work for me. It keeps me up for a good 5 to 6 hours but be careful, I am a commuter student and I have had the crashing effect hit me while driving back home from campus. My advice is to take with caution but it works to get you through that 5 o'clock feeling.
