Soccer Ball Cookie Cutter

This cookie cutter comes in very handy! As a baker I do have a few tips. Make sure your dough is cold. Warm dough will stick to the cutter and the very tiny sections do not come out easy or at all. I was having trouble using it without dough getting suck so what I did was precut circles using my round cookie cutter that's roughly the same size, I laid them on a cookie sheet, then refrigerated the dough to make it cold, then I pressed soccer ball cutter into the precut circles to make the soccer ball lines. I also made sure to dip the cutter into flour each time and then brushed all the excess flour off before baking. Doing it this way saved me tons of time because I wasn't able to perfectly cut the dough into the soccer balls shape without it getting suck in the small spaces. At least if you have precut circles all you're doing is then pressing the defined lines. Again, COLD dough is the trick.

This is a great cookie cutter, easy to decorate and sturdy quality. I would have given it 5 stars, but it makes a large cookie. The cookie cutter itself is 3.75 inches in diameter; so baked cookie ends up being over 4 inches... larger than I would like. So if you like a big cookie, you will like this cookie cutter.

First off - it took over a week to get shipped to me, so buy from someone with better logistics.Second - plastic cookie cutters really aren't great. If you could find something similar in metal, I would buy it.I used it to make cookies last night. I got inconsistent results. The dough stuck in all the little holes, so the cookies are misshapen. Now I am looking at them and what I expected to have is little lines to trace, but instead I have deep ridges. I don't think the icing process is going to go well. Maybe if you make very thin cookies.

This is a fun cookie cutter. It cuts easily and the detailing is good. I found that it works best if you make sure to dip the cutter in flour before cutting each cookie - otherwise some of the small sections at the edge can stick in the cutter.

Expected it to be a bit better product but it worked for what I was going to need it for.

Awesome! Speed up our project significantly. It would have taken at least a days worth of work to make the soccer ball shapes by hand but with this it took only a couple hours

Nice, would help if instructions included how thick the cookie should be.

I needed to make a two dozen soccer ball cookies and this little cookie cutter really helped a lot. The smooth edges help keep it from sticking. I would recommend.
