Good but limited clamp
As a fan of Bessey clamps, I was a hair disappointed with this one. It's a bit flimsy and clumsy to adjust (especially one-handed). That said, I do like to ratcheting feature and quick release. I'll use this one for light duty, quick work holding. But I'll stick with my other Bessey models for everything else.

Clamp takes a hit for the team
Four of these Bessey 12" KLIKlamps share my workspace with about a hundred other clamps of many types. It's interesting to see which clamps are grabbed first, over and over. THIS clamp. It's fair to call this "medium powerful" since it is very light and part of the ratchet mechanism is plastic. At the same time it is MAXIMUM useful, SUPER adaptable. A few days ago I was putting something together with a framing nailer. The four KLIKlamps were on the job. Good thing, because one of those 16d nails went in straight and came out sideways. A KLIKlamp was in the danger zone and took a direct hit. Shattered some plastic. (Thanks, safety glasses.) So darn, now I'm down one clamp. But there was no blood on the project, no trip to the ER, etc. I took a few pics. It was an honorable death for a clamp. It's easy to say that plastic doesn't belong on the clamp rack. Give me steel, right? Aluminum and wood, too. But that sideways nail would have had a different effect on other materials: driven right into a wooden clamp, or badly gouged aluminum. Who's to say what kind of ricochet would have happened with steel. So maybe plastic DOES have a place on the clamp rack. I'll be replacing that Bessey KLIKlamp this week. Maybe I'll get a few more, too. You never have too many clamps.

Great light duty clamp
This is a light duty clamp rated at 260 lbs and works great for that purpose. Don't expect them to be something they are not. They are very easy to adjust and tighten the clamp.I use them for small thin glue ups where I don't need a lot of force but need a clamp to hold parts together while glue cures.

Great for weak hands and medium/light jobs
I use these all the time around my shop to quickly clamp my workpiece to the workbench or router table. For me the really reduce hand stress because I don't have to squeeze something like a quick grips (important at the end of the day) and they are lightweight and easy to maneuver. However, unlike normal pistol grips, they are tricky to place use one handed. Their come across as feel light and flimsy (as some of the reviews say) but I've never had any issues for jobs in their weightless. Being so light they are much easy to pack around.Because of the lever arm style, my younger children can also use these effectively.

Excellent clamps
The Bessey KliKlamp is an excellent clamp. It offers a great combination of deep throat capacity, high clamping strength, compact size, and light weight. I haven't had them long enough to know how well they'll wear, but they seem to have the same high quality that all Bessey clamps have. It's important to realize that, like any other piece of equipment, these clamps have limitations, and you have to live within those limits. In the case of clamps, that's why there are so many types and sizes; good results depend on selecting the right clamp for the particular job at hand. The KliKlamp falls into the category of quick, one-handed, convenience clamps. They are NOT heavy-duty production clamps. I've found them incredibly handy for quickly securing a workpiece to a bench, holding small pieces for gluing, etc. They really stand out for clamping down cutting guides for circular saws and routers. Their low profile prevents them from interfering with the tool as you go along the guide.I think the KliKlamp is well worth the money. They're certainly not cheap, but the do several jobs better than anything else I have. I'm happy with the value, and I'd buy them again if I had it to do over.

so far so good
4 stars because even though they work great and I have had no problems at all (i actually love them). I sense something breaking soon, the gears and handle are plastic, and they really have a toy like feel to them, rather cheap feeling. again, they work awesome so far (had them about 4 months) and for the money you can't beat it.

Not a good product!!
The gears are made of plastic .they’ll ware out in a few uses .clamping pressure is not impressive as well I gave it 3 stars cause I still use them for light projects but not worth spending that much for this clamp

Clamp rack place holders
I purchased a pair of Bessey KL13.008 KlikKlamps in 2005 looking for a clamp to fill a gap between Quick Grip one handed clamps, and traditionally styled F-clamps with acme screw threads. I tried them out in several different positions on a set of kitchen cabinets I was building at the time. I also used them on the edge banding of the laminate counter tops for line up purposes. I found them cumbersome to work with in any orientation other than the movable jaw placed in a vertical position above the work. Unlike my F-Clamps, they do not have a clutch to keep the movable jaw from sliding open when it is oriented below the work. This was the only flaw in an otherwise good design, but it is a major one. The only advantage they have over the F-Clamp is lighter weight. The weight advantage is more than off set by the lack of a means to preposition the ratcheting jaw, and have it stay there until you actually squeeze the ratcheting lever to tighten the clamp. If they did have a means to reliably hold the sliding jaw in position I would rate them 5 Stars.I put them on my clamp rack in 2005, and they have been sitting there ever since. I actually forgot I had them until last weekend when I decided to remake my clamp rack, and found them covered with dust. I got them out and gave then another try on my drill press table. Unfortunately the clearance on the piece I was drilling necessitated orienting them with the sliding head in the down position. I finally stopped cussin, and picked up a 6 inch F-Clamp.

Great clamp, but hard to use one handed
It's got plenty of holding strength, but somehow I thought it would be easier to use one handed. For max grip you really need to hold it closed with one hand while ratcheting with another.Construction feels pretty flimsy, not sure how long it will last. Though it doesn't seem to affect it's holding strength

Lightweight single handed clamping
Easy to use, strong enough for many purposes. I've used these clamps for many years, still using the first ones that I bought over a decade ago
