Really useful!
I dry and press flowers to put into resin. This is the best and quickest way to do this! I have replaced the cotton sheets many times, and that’s not a problem. ( I just buy pure cotton cloth and cut to size. Because I have used mine for a long time, the outside plastic has warped. Probably because I press larger flowers too - such as roses. I pad out the warped case by supporting each side with more fabric to make it work! I’ve broken a few of the spindles that close the case, but found that thin drink stirrers fit through the closure perfectly, so I can keep closing it! However, don’t let the plastic warping put you off - I tend to press many layers at once under some pressure! I own four of these, and couldn’t do what I do without it!

Sturdy easy to use
Always read the instructions. I incinerated my old one as I left it in the microwave for minutes instead of seconds. Made for interesting artwork but the flowers were …unusable. It is a little slow for under 7s to wait while the drying process works.

With patience and practice works well.
Arrived in a nice eye catching box which I think would appeal to older children so would make a nice gift. The press is easy to put together and the instructions are easy to read and understand.Once you get the timings right for flowers and foliage it works well.I would recommend you do 1 variety of flower at a time rather then mixing varieties. The reason being I found some dried quicker than others so I ended up burning some on my first 2 attempts. My microwave is a 900 watt and I found 20 to 40 secs was plenty but I did on 10 sec intervals to stop any flowers burning. It is fiddly and you need patience but does work once you get the hang of it. Its a lot quicker then the traditional way.It can get hot so I would supervise children or do for them.

Perfect little project
It worked perfectly and so easy. Me and my 6 year old picked some flowers and put them in the press. I microwaved them for approx 40 secs. Checked every 20 secs. So easy we can’t wait to do more. This was just a quick first try. We will be picking more flowers to have a go with!

It’s ok, no substitute for the traditional method
I have found I need to be pretty picky about flowers I attempt to press in this. Small, flat work best. Biggest I’ve tried are large daisies - nope, the middle is too thick (burnt my cotton). There is a definite knack to this and I feel like leaving them for a few days helps dry them completely. Not what I was hoping for but quicker than sticking them in a book.

Great little kit
I bought this to press small flowers for use with resin. If used correctly, it does the job it is intended to do perfectly. I have pressed all sorts of garden flowers (and some very pretty weeds) with super results. The press itself is sturdy and well made. It takes a little time but once you get the hang of times in your own microwave, you can turn out amazing little dried flowers in literally a few minutes. I found 20 second intervals, then refilling the glass with cold water and turning the flowers worked best. By turning the flowers, it helped to see how far they had to go and prevent them going hard quickly and burning. If you buy this for a child, it would be best to supervise as it does get quite warm, although I havent been burned lifting it out of the microwave. Im glad I bought this, it is a fab little press.

It works and it's cheap!
I don't write many reviews because I forget to, but this little beauty I felt the need to review it now... it's fantastic!!!The instructions say 20 seconds are enough but you can repeat 2 or 3 times if not dry, my microwave is new but I found doing a 30 second burst x 3 worked well. Each time I changed the water in the cup for cold and I got a great result.I'd more than recommend this gadget to any crafters out there, you don't need to pay a small fortune when this is more than adequate at a little over a tenner.Well done to the makers of this press, it does what it says on the tin or cardboard box 👌
