Superb value, practical pond cover - does exactly what it says on the tin,
When the cover arrived and I opened the packaging, my heart sank. "Oh no" came the thoughts, "cheap rubbish", cover looked flimsy and even worse the pegs were plastic....won't last a day. Month or so on and I could not have been more wrong. With a little patience and perserverance the Blagdon now covers my 1000L pond both perfectly and securely. Yes the net appears flimsy, but boy can it stretch without breaking and yes the pegs are plastic but they are double horned meaning you can really secure the netting quite tightly to the ground and the pegs sink easily into soil with great grip. On one go I managed to achieve as per the attached photo. Indeed the net is so strong I've stretched it to actually secure some of the planting around my pond (which to date it has done perfectly). Having now secured the pond I have at least the same size again safely packed away in case of incident. At this price point a genuine no brainer purchase.

Herons no more
I bought this as we inherited a Heron!!! After losing 2 Coy I had to do something that would both be aesthetic to look at and sturdy enough to stop the Heron landing and getting at the rest of my fish.Installed accordingly. This is a large sized net and in my case I cut it to suit my pond, having some spare just in case - I actually double layered it and still had some spare. This did deter the Heron as saw it no more but the pesky little mouse living in our rockery loved to tightrope on it, and pinch the fishes food floating on the water - the little bugger!!Highly recommended.

Heron (1) - Slicker55 (11)
I had a dozen large fish in my pond until I noticed one missing... CCTV footage captured at 4am, showed a very cunning Heron watching the pond for 5 minutes before swooping in to catch its' prey. So, lesson learned... always thought nets distracted from the overall appearance of a pond but didn't want another repetition so a quick order, delivered and fitted later that day (thank you amazon prime). The net seems very strong and the plastic stakes are sturdy and there are enough to initially peg the net down. I used heavy pots and other items to stretch the net so as to keep it out of the water. I have a fountain in the pond and it was quite easy to slightly stretch the net to fit the fountain faucet through it. So, scene set... CCTV next morning... Heron appeared 4.08am... (slept in)... LOL... he looked so surprised when he saw the netting... Oh, well, he will know there will be another supply somewhere nearby!

Right size, doesn’t keep leaves out
I stretched this over my new pond and added several metal pegs to compliment the plastic ones provided. Looks good, nearly invisible from a short distance and should protect my fish from predators. Unfortunately it doesn’t keep our oak leaves falling from my tree. Approximately 90% go right through into the water, which, now covered with said net, cannot be easily fished out. Not good.

Too flimsy
I bought this net to keep the ducks off my pond where they had eaten the frogspawn, newts and vegetation. The pond was a muddy pond. I spend a long time pushing in the tent pegs, the next day I couldn't move my hand, I had torn a ligament/tendon. And the ducks just sat on the netting and and it sunk into the water1eventually I bought some stiff plastic covered netting and surrounded it with bean poles which were fairly successful.

Not fit for purpose for Blagdon Affinity Pool
This is a totally useless net for keeping leaves out of my pond. After fitting it there is more oak leaves in the pond than there is lying on the net. Also it is supplied with pegs for holding it down if the pond is situated on a soft surface i.e. in a lawn but as mine is situated in a paved area the pegs become totally redundant.Blagdon have obviously not researched this properly and just seem interested in selling something which is totally useless for the purpose which it is intended for. I have given it 1 star but that is because I had to rate somewhere but does not even deserve this.

Good price and do the job.
It seems sturdy. However, it is a quite job to spread properly to cover the pond, as this net is easily twisted. It certainly prevent fish to jump put the pond. MOst importantly, it prevents birds and cats to take fish. If the edges of this net has some indication, such as knitted in such way to indicate the end, that would be much better. The net should have much smaller grid, as small fish can slip out.In order to prevent a diving bird catching the fish, we made double net using this. The pins to hold the net come with the net, however, 6 is not enough. One needs to use bricks and large stones to secure around the net.

Good
Seems fine and quite robust.I first installed it the way it seemed to be right but it was short. I rotated it 90 degrees expecting the net to be short as many reviews have said, but it stretched and became the proper size. For those who think theirs is short, try rotating it, it may seem wrong but it really stretches in one direction. I may be lucky and have one the correct size.
