Great tape
My husband really likes this tape. It outperforms the name brand of tape he would usually buy.

Maybe there’s a learning curve
Unlike many of the other reviewers, I’ve never used kinesiology tape before. I’ve seen it in passing, but I haven’t really looked into it. I thought it was only for super elite athletes. As someone who runs a number of times every week, I was excited to try this. First of all, in order to use this you are going to need to watch some YouTube videos or something! There are not even basic placement instructions in the box. Second of all, be prepared to waste some tape I guess. I tried it out on my knee today. I only ran 3 miles and the tape was coming up in a couple different places. It absolutely did not last through my shower. I know it says lasts “up to” 3 days but under an hour is quite a bit less than that! My only guess is that I didn’t round the edges well enough or rub it onto my skin long enough.I will say, it did feel good during the run. I have high hopes that I’ll get the hang of it before the box runs out! But I do have to take off a star for lack of instructions. Of course there are YouTube videos but couldn’t they include some basic placements and tips for how to use? Even after watching the videos I wasn’t sure how long I needed to cut the tape (4 squares seems to be about right for the knee stuff).

very thin, not easy to cut
I have ordered many tapes like this before from Amazon. It is pretty thin and easily maneuver. One thing I do not like is because it is uncut, even though it is very thin, you have to have a pair of scissors to easily cut it. I thought I could just tear it off but no, you cannot cut it without scissors. This may be a very nice tape but I will stick to the other tape that has perforations for easy tear off.

Not bad
I ended up with double sprained wrists after a fall. My physical therapist recommended taping my wrists up for the last few days. I tried this out at work. It holds up fairly well, until I have to put gloves on. Im a formulations operator at a factory, working 12 hour shifts. The tape held up ok for the first hour. after that, the combination of sweat and gloves was just too much for it. I also have sensative skin, and adhesive on bandaids breaks my out. This tape, unfortunately, did the same. My kiddo used it for sports, and it held up great for him though!

Good atheletic tape
You get 3 rolls of black tape. I run a lot and use this and applied to the skin to support injured muscles, improve blood flow, improve lymphatic drainage and reduce pain, swelling and muscle fatigue. This tapes helps with calve muscle fatigue. The tape stays through sweating and through my workout. When removed it doesn’t leave a sticky residue, it does leave the swiggly marks on your skin. It doesn't irritate the skin and I have sensitive skin, but when pulling off it feels like pulling off a really sticky band aid.

Injury and preventative
It has out performed any brace I’ve tried. Not only does this tape enable me to remain active without further injury, it helps stabilize my knee while I sleep as well. I wake up with my knee feeling just fine instead of achy. I leave on the same application for two to three days depending upon my workout schedule. It dries easily after a shower and maintains effectiveness. Should try if your having pain with daily activities or working out

This tape helps some of my patients.
Pretty decent tape, honestly. I don't know if I can say it's the best (Rock Tape is the best, in my opinion) but it also doesn't cost a fortune.I see patients with extremity injuries, sprains/strains, dislocations and everything else you can image that has to do with joint problems.20 years ago when kinesiology tape first came out, I took several seminars and was a little skeptical about all of the huge claims, like inflammation reduction and stability under stress.Over time, ~20 years, I've seen this help certain patients with certain conditions, especially in joints with excess mobility, like the shoulder, scapula and knee. Some of my patients use this themselves at home. I do not apply this personally in my office, as I don't have time to tape up patients, but there are a ton of videos on YouTube that are very good and technical. Again the Rock Tape brand videos on TY are the ones that I suggest to patients interested in kinesio taping. It's easy to apply and the instruction and the videos are clear. I would use those videos and watch it completely one time first, before you tape and area, especially if it's your first time. Thanks to the Vine program, three of my patients that use this type of tape will get a roll each for free to use (3 rolls in 1 box). I will provide there feedback as well.I personally have used this tape to tape my wife's shoulder blade (scapula) for scapular protraction ("winging") which is very common and responds well to taping typically. It seems comparable to many of the name brand competitors. It's stayed on for a couple days and that's with a shower and a bath. The tape has good adhesive and the flex or stretchability is comparable to the competition.Lastly I will say that while taping can help minor injuries, sprains and minor stability issues it is not a fix for major injuries. *Any injury that does not get better within 4-6 weeks requires proper diagnosis and treatment by licensed professionals: orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, chiropractors or at the least your family doctor. Also, my wife is a physical therapist and agrees with this review and helped with input for the review.Good luck and good health,Dr.K
