Ford (Shadow Ops Team Book 2)

Loved this book so much. Ford and Clara both thought a relationship with them was off the cards until danger brought them and Clara's beautiful daughter together as family. Also good to catch up with Jett and Anna from the previous book. Thoroughly recommend.

If you like protector books, then you will enjoy this one. It's a really good story with plenty of action. This is my kind of book ,give it a read really good

The story lacks depth. The feelings of the main protagonists are repeated with the same language each time- copy and paste? I imagine if I read the rest of the books in the series very little would be different except the names of the main protagonists. The language is dull and unimaginative, more could have been done to expand on the main story. This is what I would expect from GCSE student who’s written it the night before hand in date. Suffice to say I wouldn’t read further in the series and I’m very disappointed that I spent money on this book.

I am enjoying this new series from Makenna Jameison. She weaves great tales filled with excellent characters, lots of intrigue and suspense, a good bit of action, lots of drama, a few surprises, twists and turns and of course plenty of spicy sizzle. Ford Anderson has had his eye on the receptionist at Shadow Ops for some time. She's a sweet single mother who completely unaware of the full scope of Shadow Ops operations. As such, Ford is not the man for Clara Anderson. He's too jaded and battle hardened. But, when she is targeted because of her Shadow Ops employment, Ford becomes her bodyguard and protector. It's no hardship having Ford around although it's a little embarrassing having him see her meager living circumstances. He fits in well with her and her daughter. It's a happy arrangement albeit a temporary one. It's nice to pretend even if just for a little while. However, if Ford has his way it will become permanent once those after Clara are taken down.

Ok, this story is about Ford, Clara and Eloise. These two pretty much had eyes for each other but wouldn't act on their feelings for each other. They finally get together after Clara's car was sabotaged. Their feelings for each other just grow from then on. The most intense part involved Eloise but, as always, the good guys win. The two finally make it happen at the end. FANTASTIC job Makenna! I would recommend this book!

This was a stirring story of second-chance love, slinking enemies, and comradeship amongst team members. Good verus evil, and the stakes are high.

Clara is a bit naive for my taste, but grows on you. Ford is awesome. A far more interesting story than book one, with some suspense, a little action and romance.
