Good product and met my expectations for appearance and quality of material, BUT the installation and programmiing documents and videos need some work.The installation process was going smoothly until I got to Step 6 (page 20 of 26 in the installation pdf).There are a series of instructions to follow on that page. The first one says to load 4XAA batteries into the interior assembly.The second instruction says to use the reset tool to test that the motor will extract the latch-bolt indicating successful operation.The third instruction -- and this is the problem that needs fixing -- says to "load the last battery and ...".I have trained myself to read all the way through a set of instructions before I do anything, so this brought me up short, since all four batteries were loaded in the first instruction.This made me nervous because at the top of this page there is an IMPORTANT note saying "This step is required and crucial for the lock after intallation." If this was this important I didn't want to mess it up.I stopped and went to my computer to load up the Amazon page for this product in my orders and clicked on the button to ask for help. I typed in pretty much what I wrote above and sent it. The response was that somebody would get back to me within 2 days. But I couldn't leave my front door without a working lock for two days and I wasn't going to uninstall everything and re-install the old lock, so I took a gamble. First, to test if the error in the instructions was in the first instruction, I just loaded three batteries and tried to do the reset. Didn't work. So then I went ahead and loaded all four batteries and did the reset and everything worked out. But whatever that error is in the instructions it cost me some time and stress before I got through it.In the programming document and video the error that threw me for a bit was in the instruction for entering a user code. If you look at the printed document or watch the programming video, it plainly says to re-enter the master code where it should say to enter the new user code. In this case I was pretty certain that the print and video were simply wrong so I did what made sense to do to program the user code. But really, this is not good and could cause some people to not be able to program user codes because they were following the instructions.This would have been a five star review without those two problems with the instructions, but thought I should share this in the hopes that it will help someone else who sees the same errors.

My kids had the bad habit of not locking thr door at night. With this automatic bolt, I don't have to worry anymore. It closes a few seconds after closing the door. I don't have to worry about my adolescent girls safety when I'm at work and they are home alone. My son installed it, and it was pretty easy. Great price as well.

The handle is sturdy I don’t live the time you have to wait to input a code if a wrong number is pushed

I managed to install it. It looks great. Well made. Only thing I came across is that it states hold down ANY button for 2 seconds to lock. I thought it was defective as it would not lock. Finally I held down the ixtech button and it locked.I have used it less than a week but so far so good.

This product looks really nice after installation. It has a very nice finish. The handle (the vertical bar) was a bit shorter than the previous one. So, I had to drill a new hole. This is not unexpected but be prepared to do so. I used wood filler to fill in the old hole and then stained over it. The handle operation is nice and smooth. Door opens and closes very nicely, with little effort and stays shut tight.I would have given it 5 stars, but the paint started chipping a bit from using the key. That was just from one day's use. Not too worried as I won't be using keys. But if you do, make sure you don't scratch the area around the key. My previous deadbolt was used for 20 years with a key and it didn't chip. So, keep that in mind.A couple of points to help make your installation go smoothly.1) Read the manual carefully before installation. There is an important step you need to take before you insert all 4 batteries.2) The deadbolt was longer than the previous one I had. At first, I was not able to get it to lock because of this. I had to drill into the door frame a bit more in order for deadbolt lock to fully extend. This is not a bad thing, but just be aware of it. This had me scratching my head for a few minutes and it's not because I have dandruff or lice.Overall, I think the product is nice for the price. I have only used it for a few days. If anything goes wrong, will report back later.

O.m.g this was so easy to put together and program. I only put in one code, for now we will keep it there..this was the 4th entry door combo in 2 days. It only took me 25 minutes, with a handheld screwdriver. It was very secure and heavy.

Looks great and super easy to set up. The temp password for 24 hours is a great feature for those who need a babysitter or dog walker to stop by

Quelques trucs :EMPREINTES NON-EFFACABLESIl n'est pas possible d'effacer une empreinte digitale enregistrée. J'imagine qu'un "reset" efface toutes les entrées (codes et empreintes), mais je n'ai pas essayé.DERNIER RESETPour le dernier "reset", il faut enlever une pile (conserver 3 piles sur les 4), appuyer sur le bouton "reset", maintenir le bouton "reset" appuyé, remettre la pile enlevée et maintenir le bouton "reset" appuyé quelques secondes.MANIVELLE BLOQUÉE EN POSITION DÉBARRÉEJ'ai toutefois eu un problème pour lequel je n'ai trouvé aucune documentation ni référence sur le Web : Après avoir débarré la serrure de l'extérieur avec un code ou un doigt, j'étais incapable de verrouiller de l'intérieur, la manivelle restait bloquée en position débarrée ! Finalement, la solution a été de mettre des piles alcalines (non-rechargeables) NEUVES. Des piles alcalines Duracell jamais utilisées mais vieilles d'un an et des piles rechargeables neuves parfaitement rechargées m'ont fait ce problème. J'imagine qu'il s'agit d'une "protection" contre des piles faibles ?

Tired of changing all the locks on my rental upstairs. No key given for front door keyless entry! Just a key for back door, making being a landlord much more cost effective!

Love the look the quality it looks and fit perfect no fuss to install but i will have to return it since the battery pad is missing part and the whole reason of the purchase was for the key pad code. And unable to find contact info to contact the company such a shame.

It works good and I would give a 5 star rating if it had better instructions and the inside control cover shouldn’t be so cheaply made compared to the rest of the hardware. It’s in our living room so we see it a lot!also hard to see if the door is locked so I painted a line on the turn knob inside to see the position it was in.UPDATE: The fingerprint part of the lock no longer works. I have reset the lock added new user (added 2 different finger prints) but the finger print to unlock it doe not work anymore. Lets you add it but not use it.UPDATE: Now the lock is just beeping and flashing. Trying to get some help with repair or replace.
