The tree itself is very cute. It is hard to see in the pic, but the bats are sparkly purple and shiny. I was intending to use votive-type candles in it, since the description says you can use any candles in the item, but when it arrived, it came with instructions that you can only use metal-capped tea lights in it. The cups are definitely deep enough for votives, but apparently, that is "verboten." So, now I have to go out and buy tea lights. Not a big thing, and the item is still cute, but I don't know why the description specifically states "add the candles of your choice" when that isn't really accurate.

Very cute decoration. I bought LED orange tea lights and they fit perfectly in the candle holders without any candle wax mess or heat.
