It's a nice balance of water-holding, and self-draining. You can pour water in the bottom and have it soak up. Probably best for watering balance, short of complete self-watering.I suspected it wouldn't be as sturdy as advertised, and I was right. They're not ultra-flimsy, but they're still more bendy than I'd like. The tray bends every time I use the opening for watering. I'd like to see a heavier model stand on the pot than the person in the pictures... or see someone jump on it, on-video. I also don't know how the plastic will last over timeI had trouble getting the trays on at first. Now they won't come off with the soil in and compact, and I'm afraid I'd break them if I tried. If you're the kind of person who overwaters, it might be best to keep the tray off, or it'll keep the extra water inside.The main reason I got this listing is because it has 8 pots for ~$25, instead of just 2 for ~25. Now I have extras, in case something goes wrong, or I want to share.Overall, I'd say it probably gets the job done. Great if you're okay with something not too fancy, or don't want to deal with replacing self-watering strips.

I was inspired by a trip to Ireland with all the beautiful flowers and had to do this. Hoping that the flowers hold up. I put 2 holes in the back top and bottom left and right of each flower pot and threaded through heavy duty zip ties.

I love these planters. Currently using them to grow some mint indoors and they fit perfectly on my window sill.

I was looking for a liner for a seeding bed for my green house and saw these. So I made the table to accommodate 6 of them. I can use each for different plants and when they are ready for planting, I'll remove that liner to do so.

I love these for a cheap garden hack. I like to buy a bunch of these and some sturdy zip ties and take a soldering iron and burn a few holes in the plastic to create holes for zip ties to secure the basket to my porch railings. The trays on the bottom tend to fall off from time to time if the planter isn't sitting on something, so if I didn't live on the ground floor I would personally remove those before mounting on a railing.

I used these for herb planting class. Sturdy and clean looking.

These were great for my planting this year, the only complaint I have is they are a little smaller than I expected.

Gardening stuff is expensive. When you want to display something, you need pretty and pretty doesn't come cheap. These are solid planter boxes that look attractive. Good depth so I'm not limited in what I can plant in them. I haven't tested how sturdy they are after cold winter weather but I suspect that these planters will survive at least one to two years.
