Original soundtrack to the critically acclaimed film La La Land composed and orchestrated by Justin Hurwitz. Features vocal performances from the film's stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, with lyrics written by Pasek and Paul. La La Land is a 2016 American romantic musical comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Gosling, Stone, John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, and J. K. Simmons. The plot follows a musician and aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles. It is the third film to feature Gosling and Stone as lovers, following Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad. The film's title is a reference to both a nickname for the city of Los Angeles as well as a euphemism for a state of being out of touch with reality. Review: Mainly incidental music - but brilliant for fans of the film - This soundtrack of the movie "La La Land" consists mainly of the incidental music and not the "big numbers.'" If you want to listen to the main songs then you will want the album La La Land and of course the complete film is available on DVD La La Land [DVD] [2017 ] I am a fan of the film and really enjoy both CDs, but there is only one vocal tune on this album which will most likely be an unwelcome surprise if you want to listen to all the songs. This tune is Track 18 - "City of Stars / May Finally Come True" which is a duet between the main characters Mia and Sebastian. I think that it is a shame that both albums weren't combined into one soundtrack, although you could create a playlist by doing this. However, this album is definitely worth having for the devotee fan and much of the music would be appreciated anyone who enjoys jazz. I actually listen to this album more than the other as I find it more varied. The individual tracks are mainly of short duration because they were used in between the main pieces in the movie. I have listed the tracks with their duration- 1) Mia gets home (0:27) 2) Bathroom mirror / You're coming right? (1:23) 3) Classic rope-a-dope (0:45) 4) Mia & Sebastian's theme (1:37) 5) Stroll up the mill (0:49) 6) There the whole time / Twirl (0:44) 7) Bogart & Bergman (2:11) 8) Mia hates Jazz (1:10) 9) Herman's habit (1:52) 10) Rialto at ten (1:39) 11) Rialto (0:28) 12) Mia & Sebastian's theme (Late for the date) (1:30) 13) Planetarium (4:20) 14) Holy hell (0:42) 15) Summer montage / Madeline (2:04) 16) It pays (2:12) 17) Chicken on a stick (1:40) 18) City of stars / May finally come true (4:18) 19) Chinatown (1:23) 20) Surprise (1:30) 21) Boise (1:14) 22) Missed the play (0:27) 23) It's over / Engagement party (1:35) 24) The house in front of the library (0:31) 25) You love Jazz now (0:51) 26) Cincinnati (2:06) 27) Epilogue (7:39) 28) The End (0:46) 29) Credits (3:40) 30) Mia & Sebastian's Theme (Celesta) (1:28) Review: Christmas - Christmas present, for someone who loved the movie… not me

Fabulous film-fabulous music!
If you enjoyed the film, you will probably already have bought this. If you haven't-why not. If you have yet to see the film and love musicals and old style Hollywood classics... You are in for a treat. Enjoy

Modern Classic
Audiophile quality recording of truly classy sound track - much more music than the soundtrack. Conversely it's a shame that there are not more of the film's songs on it - if you loved the film get the film score & the sound track - go on, it's only money!

Lovely music
Lovely music from film, not songs but background soundtrack music. You need the original song cd to complete the set.

The La La Land Score on vinyl is simply gorgeous. The orchestral score captures the magic of the film perfectly, and the vinyl pressing delivers a rich, full sound. The artwork and packaging are also beautifully designed, making this a must-have for both movie and music lovers. A truly immersive listening experience—highly recommend!
