Textbook for the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Evidence-Based Standards of Practice
F**E
Why...
in the hëłł is the inaccurate label, "advanced practice providers" (APPs), used in a textbook written by advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) for APRNs (i.e., ACNPs) and ACNP students? Why do NURSE authors, leaders(?), and academics continue using inaccurate labels that originated in healthcare organizations when NPs and PAs became a realization to provide care for hospitalized patients. Moreover, though, this text is specific to a nursing role and inaccurate labels have no place in nursing literature, references, or everyday parlance. Can we get it together sometime soon?!?!?!?
