I bought this as a gift for my brother because his kids knocked his (different brand) zapper over too many times and it finally gave up after falling 3 feet many times. I think this one is better made, but I am hoping it’s not knocked down too many times. They aren’t made for that! This one has a chain and hook. I’m hoping they hang it or keep it out of reach. Maybe some command Velcro strips would be ideal to keep this in place but still portable. Product Details: 1. Well built with quality parts. 2. Seems sturdy 3. Great for ALL bugs! 4. Works well for flies, which don’t always die on first contact with some lower wattage units. 5. Kills Texas Mosquitoes (others too I’m sure), but as you know, “Everything is bigger in Texas!” 6. A must have if you don’t want flies in your kitchen! 7. Bug tray for disposing the carcasses of the offending flies, fruit flies, mosquitoes and other flying pests. I have a similar zapper that I bought before this brand was offered on Amazon. I think these are necessary for any size house. You may want two or more, if you have kids who come in and out of the house frequently. Or maybe one for your garage or shop if you work in there some.

I haven't cleaned it yet because fly season is over and I'm lazy. However, it was so effective on flies in a horse stall that I will, in fact, clean it and use it again. The way it is made, it won't be difficult to clean it.

Okay, I seriously I love this.!! My only regret is not buying it sooner, honestly. It is quiet, and it worked nearly immediately! You see, I wasn’t even certain if I had flies in my home at the moment that I had received my bug zapper… However, my boyfriend and I were eager to set it up and give it a go. Within the smallest timeframe of having it on, we had gone back and noticed it had already effectively zapped two flies! in which we weren’t even aware were around… My toddler is terrified of flies, and tends to isolate herself to only one part of our home when they’re being excessive.. So this will be a definite asset to our home in these summer months! As I mentioned before, I only wish I had bought it sooner! Incredibly effective, and incredibly quiet.!

This ridiculous piece of whatever and one other item are the inspiration to write product reviews at all never wanted to take the time to do it...But i got time today never have i been so angry at wasting electricity not even sure how much it cost me to run but what i do know is that this is nothing more then a night light, i literally had bugs chilling in it taking a break from flying. No shock no volts, no bugs dead they all survived there trip to the exotic island of pretend bug zapper they actually treated this thing as a rest stop and seemed to attract more and kill none.

A bit noisy when the bugs hit but that’s how I know, it’s working great. There doesn’t seem to be an easy way to clean it, but still happy with the performance.

Moved to the country and dealing with lots of flys and gnats. Bought this based on reviews. At first I was going to return it because it didn't seem to work. After leaving it on a while, I started hearing lots of zaps. I think initially it gives off a "newness" odor which bugs don't like ..after a while of trying it and leaving it on they really started getting zapped. I'm happy with the purchase.

Este mata insectos es lo mejor que he comprado para mi cocina. Funciona increíblemente bien, no entra una mosca que no caiga ahí. Desde que lo tengo mi cocina está libre de insectos. Muy recomendado, hace exactamente lo que promete.

Not too effective. I don’t know if is doing anything, I ve never seen dead insects on the tray. Plus one of the replacement bulbs did not light up when tested, I guess the slide in a damaged bulb as “free” replacement.
