One minor quibble first. It comes with batteries, but when I put them in it didn’t work. I thought I’d got a broken model but I noticed one battery looked ‘funny’. Sure enough with a different battery it worked fine. Something to watch out for.As for the machine, it’s great. Nice sized plate, easy to read the numbers. Yes it’s plastic but it’s not that cheap and nasty in my opinion, not for the money – it doesn’t creak like cheap plastic things can do when you pick them up, it’s reasonably solid. I can imagine if you used it as a bat to play table tennis with it wouldn’t last long, but you’re not going to be doing that, are you?Anyway, the instructions do advise that you don’t jump on it - sensible advice and I will try to avoid doing that for as long as possible.The reason I bought it because it was so cheap and most of the reviewers were saying it’s accurate – it's certainly inexpensive and seems accurate enough for what I wanted it for which was weighing food.It also turned up quickly from this seller. I ordered it Thursday, arrived 10mins before lunch on Saturday and I was able to take it straight out of the box and (after half a minute of the battery shenanigans alluded to) weigh out my food precisely, which is what I wanted it for. This good fortune of timing probably colours my view of the machine a bit, but I like it, just what I wanted.

so far this is a great set of scales... I badly needed aset because i kept eating whole family sized packs of sweets, crisps, biscuits etc just so I knew exactly how many calories, fat & protein I was eating (thats my excuse & I'm sticking to it!) and so i bought scales so that I would hopefully eat only a portion of afore-mentioned goodies... and they seem to be working very well so far... a good buy in my opinion, and they have already saved me quite a few pounds & I even lost a few pounds in weight too

The scale itself is good. It is very accurate and nice to use, with ability to reset a tare weight and to switch between metric and imperial measurements.My only complaint is with the seller, who supplied a scale with only 7kg capacity although I specifically ordered 10kg capacity (which I need).The seller did not resolve my complaint, but Amazon reimbursed my expenditure, so I am not out of pocket.If 7kg is enough for you, then this scale will suit you well.

My first impression when I received these scales were that I had just bought some cheap light weight plastic scales, as they do look fairly cheap to be fair. But, now I've used them a dozen times I certainly wouldn't part with them and can highly recommend them. They are very accurate, I weighed an A4 sheet of paper, 4g if anyone's interested and have lots of other clever functions, paper work included if you need these functions and have a bit of time to check them out. All I needed them for was to weigh and they certainly do that.Now I've had them a few weeks I don't see them as cheap plastic scales, they now look so much better, thankfully I didn't go on 1st impressions! If you need scales, I can't see anyone going wrong with these.

I've got a set of these already; had for 18 months, very happy with them as kitchen scales. Occasionally my neighbour borrows them. This usually coincides with my needing to weigh a parcel or package for the post. So I bought this set for my neighbour. She is delighted, both at the quality, the price and the super-fast free delivery.There are no silly coin shaped batteries to run out every five minutes, and you can't get flour trapped between the scale and the inner workings, so for my mind these beat the sleeker flatter models hands down. These ones last longer and work more efficiently.

Best bit about this is it runs on 2x AA batteries, not the piddly little CR-2032 that many of these things run on. It seems to read within 2g (at 1.5kg) of another set of electronic scales I have, I can't say which one is the most accurate! Worth the £6 I paid for it.

Check the capacity when they arrive - the ones I was sent were 7kg instead of 10kg so I returned them.They seemed like good, basic scales, fairly solid. The sticker over the buttons was starting to peel. You can't complain for the price though (£5 inc delivery)

+Speedy delivery, scales not 10kgs as expected but 7kgs., but acceptable. As others have stated batteries were dud but not a problem. Contact with seller was very good and satisfied with outcome. Would deal with this seller again.
