Would this be suitable for applying to an oil sump plug on a car engine?

Hi. This is a non setting gasket cement. A new washer with the sump plug is best option, if plug is a taper thread then Hylomar is fine. It is most useful when used with engine gaskets. (Sump, cam cover etc) , it does not clog oil pump pickup filter as some of the gasket cements can do. Have seen engine oil supply stopped where this has occurred. Regards.

Would this work to seal a power steering oil resevior to the pump? (Seat Ibiza 2010)

If there is an O ring or a gasket, Blue Hylomar will help seal, if there is neither then use high grade silicone.
