Hummingbird Food In A Can
This hummingbird food has interesting packaging. You get four large aluminum cans that contain enough food for a standard medium size hummingbird feeder. The food is a light pinkish red in color and as it ages in the feeder it becomes clearer. I wish I could say that the hummingbirds like it but so far this year I have not seen a single one. Whether they don’t like the food or just aren’t around is anyone’s guess. Since the item does look just like an energy drink can, you will want to make sure it does not accidentally get consumed as it contains pure sugar. I do like how the product is in an aluminum can better than a plastic bottle because it made it super handy to fill the feeder and easy to crush and recycle. Overall, it seems like a nice quality product, so hopefully the hummingbirds come soon and like it just like the ants do.

Ready to go for the spring hummingbirds!
16oz can is the perfect size for my 16oz feeder, it fills it to the absolute brim. I just put my feeder out this week, and am (im)patiently awaiting the first hummingbird arrivals for this spring! Color is a nice rich red. I like the cans for easy storage and dispensing.Edit: I've noticed after it's been hanging for about three weeks that the red color bleaches in the sun. I haven't had but a couple sporadic visitors so far, and I'd say about 70% of the red color has disappeared. If you've got a lot of "customers" you may not get to this point. Also if you have birds that form the habit before it bleaches, it may not be an issue.Edit again 2023-04-18: They've arrived! Hummingbirds have checked it out, but what surprised me the most is I have Baltimore Orioles! I've never had one here before, and they are LOVING this nectar! These birds are so beautiful and I'm so happy they're liking this nectar. They've wiped out about 1/3 of my feeder's worth in three days!

Convenient and saves me time!
The whole family LOVES watching the hummingbirds visit our feeder. It's right outside our kitchen window so we can actually watch them while we sit down and enjoy a meal together. We have had as many as four at a time at our feeder. You get four ready to go 16 oz aluminum cans. Yes, you are paying for the convenience of having a pre-mixed solution but it really does save time and hassle. No mixing, no worrying if the ratio is right, no spilling, no mess.I find that these pre-mixed solutions don't attract as many wasps and ants as my homemade solution. Even though I follow the recommended nectar recipe when making my own, the wasps always seem to find it and the cautious hummingbirds steer clear when they are around. You can't get any easier than this for usage - just pop open the can, pour into your feeder, and you are done!I LOVE that this product doesn't contain any harmful dyes. It only contains an all natural red color, no red dye #40 which can be harmful to hummingbirds. We have only seen one hummingbird so far this season but it's still early. The one we did see loved the nectar and perched on the feeder so that it could greedily enjoy it! :)
